Sanar didn't move, just became more and more taught, all her muscles set to spring if the rustling creature arrived and proved to be dangerous.
She started slightly as Gael suddenly clapped and barely prevented herself from bolting. She twitched her wings and looked at Gael, wondering why the other girl had decided to alert everything in the forest to their posistion.

Gael noticed Sanar's panic with a rather twisted smile, and giggled. This was the part that was fun for her. She leaned down, picking up the tablet and begain, once again, to walk away, backwards. They were almost to the edge of the forest at this point, and she was purpously making as much noise as she could arrange - knowing that it would keep them safe from the evil boogie men that seemed to haunt every aspect of Sanar's existance.
Naturally panicky animals were not what Gael had been made of, she awknowledged with a giggle. "Don't worry, I don't think it will attack." She said to Sanar, backing away from the other girl, who seemed to be rooted to the spot.
The forest, for the time being at least, was silent.

Sanar sighed at Gael's comment and frowned, looking around, not quite believing the other girl. A silent predator meant it either a) knew they knew about it and was being silent as it continued to track them b) or had realized that they were bigger and/or had large stone with with to fend it off. Not that Sanar would use the tablet to do such a thing, but whatever was stalking them probably didn't know that.
When she looked back Gael was walking backwards away from her and she followed with a quiet, "wait up!" Still flickering her ears to catch any new sounds and keeping her legs set to spring her away at a moments notice should their predator make itself known.

Gael's ears picked up the rustling quickly, as it was growing closer, but to the same tolken, she could see the lit windows of her home through the trees. They were close.
She stepped backwards, loosing her footing accidentlly, and falling into what seemed to be a pit of some sort. The small form that darted past her made her jump, but she remained calm, letting out only a small 'ep' as what appeared to be a mini-gryph of some sort pushed past her.
It was, however, heading straight towards Sanar.

Sanar started and stood still as the rustling suddenly picked up again.
Something several dark things shot out of the woods and then Gael was gone and before she really knew what she was doing Sanar was screaming and charging at the things, good old ostrich insticts of 'DRAW THEM AWAY FROM DOWNED COMRAD' kicking in.
"Gael! If you can 'ere me I'll draw em off! Run!" Sanar yelled, clutching her half of the tablet and running through the small mass of mini-grphys, which, sadly, panic prevented her from truly loooking at. If she had she might've realized that these were minigryphs and, thusly, probably not out to eat her.
Or at least small enough to be fought off without running.

Gael sighed loudly as she patted the nearest Mini-gryph, the one who'd stopped to sniff her, on the head. It shrank away from her touch at first, but then moved under her fingers, getting to a good spot to scratch. "Silly flighty animals, non?"
Gael righted herself, but she realized something. The damn girl had run off with the other half of her tablet! THAT WAS HER'S. Fuming, she stormed out of the forest.
