Why WOULDN'T people like her? She's the second main character, and it's a romance story? I guess if ya like Ranma and hate akane, ur screwed now arent ya? twisted

IMO, I think Akane and Ranma are a perfect match for each other. I know Akane can be mean and forceful at times, but she is a very honest and loving girl.

For more then 3/4 of the anime she's a total b***h.

Sure, her cooking skills aren't as good as Kasumi's, but she makes Ranma eat her food anyway because she wants him to like it and tell her how she can improve; whether it be martial arts OR cooking.

First of all if Akane wants to test her food on someone then why doesn’t she find someone that’s willing to eat it like Ryouga and second if Ranma doesn’t want to eat then he shouldn’t have to. Who the hell is she to force it down his throat?

But Ranma has his bad bits too. You can't just go nagging off Akane without nagging Ranma. The things I don't like about Ranma is that he always picks on the other characters and rushes into things too quickly. It always gets him in trouble and screwed in the end.

I never said that Ranma didnt have his bad points and here is a quote to prove it.

Akane's always beating Ranma up for things that are not always his fault and she never gives him the chance to explain himself. While Ranma keeps calling her names like a 12 year old.

What are you talking about Ranma is always rescuing Akane because she gets herself into trouble. And when Akane stupidly tries to save Ranma she gets into trouble and then Ranma still has to save her.

But if you're not satisfied with Akane being Ranma's fiancee, you can go write and type up a fanfic about another character being Ranma's future bride. Whether it be Shampoo, Ukyo, or some other character.

I did make a fanfiction but no one will read it because of everyone seems to be a Ranma and Akane fanatic.

And no character is perfect. You gotta' accept them for who they are and what the author is trying to point out to you. .

Yes every character has their faults but Akane has nothing but faults. She's one big fault. The only thing she can do right is bandage up Ranma after an a** kicking.

Also, saying you hate a drawing THAT much is a tad bit silly. It's a drawing. It's not real. If you dislike the character, I understand. But if you hate the character or should I say DRAWING, than you're taking it WAY too far.

All characters instill real emotion in it's watchers.

Ranma started to suck after Herb . . .

Anyways I liked Akane. I do and that's about it. She sticks up for what she believes in and actually tries to fight. I like Ukyo better, and I loath shampoo.

I'm not going to write an essay to defend her. I just like her.

God I can't believe this thread is still alive!! Somewhat. I thought it died months ago. Although I still hate Akane and probably always will, I kind of wish it would die since I don’t really care about this subject anymore.

Hey idiot I do respect her opinion but that doesn’t mean that we can’t have a discussion or a debit on the subject. Also I wasn’t yelling at her. I can respect people that can debate with me properly. As for Akane, I just think she’s a crapy, character. The girl is mean, rude, violent, has no talent, and is the worst looking female in the series. I can see that Rumiko made her that way purposely for story line humor but to be honest 38 volumes and almost 100 episodes of the same stupid s**t from her isn’t just isn’t humors anymore. Now don’t get me wrong I wasn’t always an Akane hater. I actually use to like her when I first started watching Ranma ½ but that was because the first episode I ever saw was “An Akane to Remember” where she was actually nice for once. Then I got to watch the first 5 episodes later on and I got a little turned off from Akane but not enough to make me hate her yet. It wasn’t until a little later that I started to get really tired of her crap. Anyway like I said in the above I really don't care about this subject anymore. I have other threads that I like better like my Shamin King parings thread.

I use to like Akene and hate Shampoo to but now it's the other way around. Ukyo has always been nuterul for me. Meaning that I have always liked her. As far as her and Ranma are concerned I really think she's way to mature for Ranma. She should be with a guy that has the same maturity levle, like Shinnoske from "An Akane to Remember" Not to mention that he's the best looking male in Ranma 1/2 ever.
