Kyrostar deeahhnahh Quote: Dark_Fluffy-Chan Posted: Tue Jul 25, 2006 6:54 am I'm gonna try to get a job at EB Games when I turn 18 3nodding do you have to be 18 to apply at EB games? if so... thats upsetting. i was thinking of going there once i read this post. poop.but still. i wouldnt mind working at a gaming store, but do you have to know all games off by heart or something? because i might not have the memory for that sweatdrop No you don't have to be 18. I'm sixteen and I still got the job. I'm working at Gamestop though so I don't know how EB games runs things....You don't have to memorize all the games either but you do need to know important dates (like Madden 07 comes out on the 22nd and Gears of War comes out on Nov. 12). And actually i don't recomend lying. It's always a better idea to be honest to ANY of your potential employers. In my opinion, release dates for these kinds of games are the least important of them all. If it came down to where the system worked with bribing people for release dates, Madden games would not generate much cash for the informants. On the other hand, I'd give anything for a difinitive date when Twilight Princess will be coming out. I want so baaaad!! crying

LOL I've decided that I wanted to work on Gamestop since I was like... in 6th grade. [as a part-time job. I'm not that lame that I want to work in Gamestop for the rest of my life. xD] Simply, there are magazines there, and you can sometimes play games when there's NO ONE around. I've seen one guy that works in Gamestop played on the X-Box 360... xD Maybe that's not supposed to be allowed, but who knows?
Also, the discounts!!! And if you're lucky enough, if the display stands for like you know "Coming soon, blah blah game!", are thrown out, you can get them! [can you? I'm not sure. It'll be cool though] I wanted an FFXII one for my room... crying

I say, video games first because you can sell them when you are done or you get bored for money.

I currently earn just enough money to pay my parents board so I never get to go out. Thanks to spending several years of game & console collecting previously I don't really care about having no money as I've got more than enough games to occupy me. heart
I love gaming more than I love drawing & to those who know me know how much that is. whee

Kyrostar Ladies (and some gentlemen), are you tired of not having enough money? Dying for more video games? Feel like you can't have both? Last week i found out i can. I applied for a job at Gamestop, AND I ACTUALLY GOT IT! And i suggest you all try to secure postitions at your nearest video game store too!Now before you think "I don't want to work, to much effort" think about it. Not only are you getting that precious green paper, but you are also gaining access to tons of discount and first dibs on all kinds of games! You know you want this job too. (Oh, but keep in mind that it might be easier for girls to get jobs at video gaming places than girls. You know why.) tried for a summer job. they're not in the process of hiring & I can't work during school season x.x

Must...have...video game job! I got a job teaching engineering at a camp this summer to get a Wii...and THANK GOD the Wii is worth it. I was contemplating suicide on the bus ride, it was so horrible. Even though we're going to be doing robotics during the second week, which I luff. Although I'm also considering a job at the nearest Sikorsky once I finish my engineering classes...video games would be a good support between jobs.
