"Okay!" Atem said hurredly, not wanting Ember to get even more stressed out than she needed to be. "I won't leave. I'll stay with you the whole time."

"Nurses here are probably a lot tougher than you. They get death threats daily, I bet." Atem said in a not-too-calming voice. What was he supposed to do, exactly?

"Alright ms.ember...can you push just once" the doctor asked. Muttering curse words she pushed...and soon you could hear the baby crying. It sounded like a little mouse.

Atem couldn't help but sag slightly, as tension he didn't know he had was suddenly released from his body. He gave Ember's hand a little squeeze, as best as he could, since he couldn't feel his fingers. "You did it."

The doctor smiled and wrapped up the baby. The child was about the size of atem's hand "Congrtaz it's a girl" he said givving ember the tint thing.
"She's so small" ember muttered,exsausted.

"I don't think you would have wanted to push it out if it were bigger." Atem said kiddingly, trying to mask his worry. Was this normal? The doctor had smiled. That seemed positive.

Ember smiled exsaustedly. the baby now in there mothers arms went quiet and was happly gasing around.

"Rest..would be nice" Ember said. A nurse came in smiling to them "i'll be bringing the baby to his incubator if your finished holding him."

Atem looked hesitant, but decided that the hospital staff was doing what was best. He stood back, offering no objections to the nurse.

The nurse smiled and gently scooped up the baby. She then walked out of the room with it.
By the time the nurse had left the room ember had passed out.

Atem took a seat in the chair near the bed, letting out a heavy sigh. He hoped everything would be okay.
