Heh. This event was actually fun. Just day 1 of it but it is pretty fun. So far I've only traded my Wooden Katana (DMG:1 Delay:450) back in twice. First time I got a Hardwood Katana (DMG:5 Delay:450) and second time obtained 12 Tarutaru Moshi.
The real fun I see is being able to hunt down NMs under a LV1 cap and fighting the NMs with anyone without being in a party and having to chase after the NMs that seem to be on a type of auto-flee and only stop and some points where you can engage or just run around the area for the most part. Just being able to work together with others to take these suits of armor down and having a RNG, /RNG, BST, or /BST helping you find the armors and using an All Jobs G.Katana opens up so many possibilities once outside of the event.
Now for the real question...What else is gonna be in stored for the mirror event of the doll festival?

O.O I have too much fun running around as a Tarutaru child while being a Large Elvaan underneath the costume from the Tarutaru Mochi...It's just...Being able to finally see the world from down there...And even being shorter then the average Tarutaru >.> And being able to use an All Jobs Great Katana...And since I'm a WAR/NIN normally....>.> Tachi: Enpi on my WAR is gonna be fun ^^

From what I've heard here and there, it seems that you can get a Hardwood if you land the final blow on a armor before it falls to the ground. I'm just not sure on it but I do remember dealing the final blow once or twice before I turned mine in for the first time.

I guess you just gotta keep chasing them until you land the final blow.

After a while it got so boring I quit and gave all my mocchi to a passer-by. The memory of 20+ people running after an armor with wooden katanas, however, will be cherished in my memories.

It was ok, but I don't like it too much. It's very frustrating chasing it around, and the fact it runs SO FREAKIN' FAST! eek
Eh...I can't wait until another Summerfest! biggrin (I didn't get to participate last year. ><)

Can someone explain to me the difference between the Hardwood Katana and the Wooden Katana besides the damage?
