So Hurricane Ivan is going to hit sometime this evening. My hometown is in its direct path. sad It might not be there after this is all over. crying
Luckily I'm in school in Baton Rouge...so I should be safe. But school is still closed the next two days. I'd rather the hurricane not be here in the first place... sweatdrop
So please keep everyone down here in your thoughts/prayers. I'm sure some other members of the guild have evacuated or are affected as well... sad

This is stupid. Ivan is like, completely missing Georgia practically, and everyone's freaking out anyway.
I'm at school right now, and the principal has come onto the speaker and stated that we are under a tornado WATCH, and that NO ONE will leave the school building until after the busses have left(for regular dismissal) unless signed out by a parent.
Now this is just absurd.
Wtf? Cancelling all the afterschool activities is fine, but not letting people leave the school? What about the people who drove here and have to go early?
They have to get their PARENT to drive to the school, and then they have to unfeasibly drive TWO CARS home.
Now if this were a tornado WARNING, it'd be entirely different. But it's a watch. C'mon people.
If our principal is so freaked out, we shouldn't have had school today, like all the freaking counties around us.
