What IS yeast infection and what can it do?

I've been checking out a few things here and saw some people suggesting a few things are yeast infection. I have heard of it before, but I am completely unsure of what it is.

Oh, and how can you tell if you have it?

I've read some things here, and.... Its getting me a bit nervous.

I'm not intirely sure, but one thing IS for certain, if you've got a yeast infection you'll know it right away, it will itch like all HELL burning_eyes

Information on yeast infections

Relax, it's really quite common for women to get yeast infections, it's just caused by an upset of the pH. Not to say it's not a pain to deal with, but it's experienced by women at least once in their lives, a lot of times more.
