Forcing someone to choose option A because society might be forcing her to choose option B does NOT solve the problem. All it does is substitute one problem for another, one that is equally bad.

If McPhee, or the creator of the signature, really gave two shits about women, they should realize this.

The thing is, I don't think many Pro-Lifers care about the well-being of the woman as long as their perfect little Blonde-haired, Blue-eyed, White, Christian angel babies are born.
Is it just me, or do the ideal babies in every Pro-Life picture always sound like the "Aryian" race?

god forbid that these perfect little angels aren't born, because then we'd all go to hell in a handbasket. I'd much prefer sipping tea with Satan then living in a world where women have no choice.

Would you like Earl Grey or Chai? wink

how about we skip that tea, and go grab a latte? I'll bring Satan, you grab Lucifer, and let's start us a dance party.

Oh yeah! Since you know, Starbucks was born in Hell. I mean 4 bucks for a small coffee? That's almost as stupid as being Pro-Life.
Okay, that was mean. I'm sorry, Starbucks. You didn't take away any rights.

Thats as logical as saying "men don't need tampons, why do women?" or "men don't need BC pills, why do women?"

Fun Fact: 4 is one of Satan's numbers!

AJ's message of tolerance for the night:

Being Pro-Life does not mean that someone is stupid. Nor all are people who are personally Pro-Life or politically Pro-Life stupid.

I might believe that making abortion illegal is wrong, and causes many problems in the long run, but I'm not sure if advocating for this could even be considered "stupid".

Just because someone believes different from you doesn't make them stupid.

Not that there aren't stupid Pro-Lifers. Though there are plenty of stupid Pro-Choicers also. I've seen plenty of both in the Debate. But believing in either side of this issue isn't stupid.

Pardon the insult. I go overboard. A lot. Just look at my DNA project. (It's 5 feet long and made of styrafoam. I kid you not. sweatdrop Oh, how everyone stared at me for that!)

However, I do believe that making abortion illegal is among one of the most retarded things a person of authority can do. But, that's just me. Which isn't entirely a good thing. Okay, your life will be a living nightmare if you're like me.

Yes, I realize that, and I don't have an excuse for my actions. (I'd gladly thrust a knife through my hand to take it back.) I've lost a few friends because of my leaping-before-looking attitude.

Just remember: What I see in the other side of the debate is a reflection of the entire side for me. I never did lose that gullibility and naivete when I was supposed to.

How about "Men aren't forced to carry out pregnancies, so why should women?"

Anybody else notice the rude message that now replaces the sig?

I'm sorry, but Photobucket is up there so other people can see and possibly use your images...they're not stealing your ******** bandwidth....that's the PURPOSE of Photobucket....to put them on SOMEONE ELSE'S bandwidth...nevermind, I'm having one of those "There are far too many computer-illiterate people in denial" days...

I personally would be disgusted if it came to pass that men were able to become pregnant. With current attitudes as they are, that would essentially make women useless in many eyes, for one, and for two, I think it's rather a lovely thing to be able to do. But it's like a conversation I had the other day with a friend of mine: I wish there was an "off" switch that women could activate until they wanted to have children, so they wouldn't have to menstruate or become pregnant until then. Personally, I don't know about everyone else, but I would feel that would be beneficial to society.
And no one could call it murder!
Except for those people who would call masturbation murder, but menstruation when you aren't having sex is, in a sense, the same thing...

whee I agree.
Especially on such an issue as this, it's one of those "good people can disagree" sort of things.
All I ask of the pro-life side - and while I disagree with the reasoning behind it, I use the term "pro-life" for the same reason I call myself "pro-choice" - is that they understand that their beliefs are not to trump the beliefs of someone else simply because they believe they are right. Being pro-life by no means makes someone stupid, or a bad person, or ignorant. It just means that their beliefs are manifested differently. For instance, if I were to become pregnant and choose to have an abortion, I would rather not be labeled a murderer, but I also understand that there are those who disagree with my choice.
"A" for longwindedness >.<.

Nah, they're just pussies who can't take the fact that their 'logic' doesn't work.

Oh, and person who owns the account: when you leave the url, BBS and HTML codes up in your photobucket account for anyone to grab, you can't complain about people using the images.

I know this sounds really sexist, but my mom agrees, and its true in some cases:

If men really could have babies, I'm pretty sure abortion would be legal in every aspect of the word.

No, my friend. That isn't sexist. If it could happen, it would more than likely be true. Hell, there would probably be abortion drive-thrus with beer and ESPN if men could get pregnant.
