I have an offer for an electric guitar. It is a Johnson brand, and I was wondering if that is a good brand. (I'm not a beginner, but this is my first electric guitar. i learned on acoustic.)

It's a guild mate, it's always pretty slow.
And I have no idea about Johnson. I take it you've googled and whatnot?

Johnson is a old brand aimed at lower budget musicians and from what I have played they are surprisingly good. A buddy and I spent an entire day hopping from music store to music store playing accoustics and the best playing, best sounding one we found was a Johnson for $99. I am still gonna buy that thing someday. I am also very interested in their jumbo accoustic bass.
