A little bit of information has been released. The movie will take place in the Civil War period of Japan (aka Sengoku era, Warring States era).

Cool. Is he gonna be fighting Oda Nobunaga or Toyotomi Hideyoshi? Stuff like that is a little overused, but I still dig it 3nodding

Meets Samurai Warriors you mean, which also takes place at the same time. I think it would be interesting to see the Riders take sides in the rivalry of Takeda Shingen and Uesugi Kenshin.

Consider the fact the Riders from Hibiki fight Makamou (Youkai), and those Disc Animals they have being called (Shiki) by some people.
The movie's story taking place during the Sengoku Era hopefully would provide viewers who watch the shows a better informations aout Takeshi's origin/history backgound & how people were selected then became "Oni".
