I've been listening to Amputechture and I have no idea what it's about, but the song titles are making me think Jesus, God and what not.

I'm not sure. I haven't taken the time to fully listen to it yet, I'm always either multitasking or I get bored with it. That's a definite weird for me, No matter how many times I listen to the other albums I'm fully attentive to them. sad

Yes I do beleive it is about A god. Not sure which because TMV always draws on different influences. for example, Estrella de la mañana, Samael te persige a ti. Means morning star samuel follows you. It could refer to the catholic St. samuel or the demon Samuel the demon who is an important figure in Talmudic lore, a figure who is accuser, seducer, and destroyer. St. samuel is known to the catholics as one of the egyptians who visited Christians condemned to work in the mines of Cilicia during Maximus' persecution, to comfort them. They were apprehended at the gates of Caesarea, Palestine, they were brought before the governor Firmilian, and accused of being Christians, after this they were tortured and beheaded.

Another thing a "morning star" is one of two things the old medieval weapon which was basicaly a mace with the head of a flail, or it could be the -which sounds more reasonable- Jewish version of the pentagram except it is inverted and one point is longer than the others that point is the bottom one. Why do I beleive they draw strongly from Talmudic lore and the Talmud itself?
Well besically if you look at the cd Scabdates you will notice different markings and symbols. They are all drawn from the talmud. I think I spend too much time with my head in books sweatdrop

From what I have heard Amputechture ia all about some lady i think it was who goes against her faith and everyone turns on her or soemthing i guess? i cant remmeber it exactly what I have read for it was a long time ago. But it had something to do with being against god.
