Just wrote this in my journal. stare
Hold my hand,
tell me I'm not dreaming
is this the place where I'm supposed to be?
I don't think I fit here well
but if you say I'll stay a while
because together we might make it
and even if my kisses taste like
activated charcoal
I hope you'll find a reason
not to leave me
cause I'm scared to face the darkness
without you
and I'm not trying to make you
but it really hurts to feel
so left alone
I can't stand the hours of wondering
whether I've become a shadow on your heart
a scar across your cheek
don't say I never warned you
about my dark side
it was there just waiting to vindicate my heart
and the injustice done against me will never be your fault
but it still hurts
to even speak your name
the way I once did like a prayer for peace
that never would come true
and just remember
I was once a loving kind of person
I never knew I'd have to hurt
so much to understand the way the world works
but I did
and now I've become a martyr for your love
and even if my kisses taste like
activated charcoal
I hope you'll find a reason
not to leave me
cause I'm scared to face the darkness
without you.
