Me: -getting dressed up as Erik of halloween-
Mom: Y'know Bailee (Real life Name), I really don't like this whole Haloween thing. It's kind of satanic, and we're christians.
Me: Satanic? You're insulting my costume? My sisters dressed as a witch, one who practically worships the devil, and my brother is going as the evil satanic monster of doom. How on earth is the Phantom of the Opera bad?
Mom: Well, your costume doesn't exactly fall on the good side of christianity, Bailee.
Me: WHAT? How is Phantom bad?!?! He's an insane qenius who lives in the sewers who only come up to seranade an unsuspecting young woman and to strangle everyone that mentions a bad word and his name in the same sentence!...And he threatens people with notes. Lots of notes.
Mom: o___o
Me: :3 :l :s :c o___o
Me Again: I see what you mean...
Anyways, now that I finally got that off my chest: The story that I actually wanted to tell you in the first place!
Mom: -walks up stairs confused- Bailee, this envelope came under dad's name, but I think it's yours. What is it?!?
Me: -omgwhatdidtheyfindout!?!- ooookkkaayyy...-opens envelope-
Mom: ?
Envelope: -opens and small other envelope-ish thing falls out. It has magasine-like advertisements all over-
Me: WTF?
Mom: WTF?
Me: -Opens advertisement thing-
Advertisement Thing: BROADWAY ACROSS CANADA TOUR
Me: OMG.
Mom: tee hee -in a totally, I didn't get those for you...but I totally did sort of way-
Me: -looks further down-
Tickets: PHANTOM OF THE OPERA
Me: OMGWOWMOMTHANK YOU WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wall: -has me run into it at full speed in hyper mode-
Me: Ow.
Mom: tee hee.

Just because this is a pet peeve of mine... neither Halloween nor witches are satanic in origin. Pagan =/= satanic.
