Well now this is getting ridiculous!!! I went to resume my poll taking, voted in the very next poll, and got the virus AND a PUP pop up again. rolleyes stare gonk stressed
EDIT - I think I'm gonna go play neo on premium with no ad banners. neutral Darn! And I had all these ideas for stuff I wanted to do on gaia today!

I just had to go and open my big mouth didnt I....wouldnt you know it, I got the trojan/PUP thing again just a few minutes ago. After going about 2 weeks without. So I had to run another scan and clean the trojan and PUP from my system. grrrrrr

Blaisixi ...YES, this is a real issue. It comes from the animated (Flash) banner ads on Gaia and on Neo. There's a security hole in Flash that the evil hackers can exploit. Macromedia has patched with newer versions of the player... ^^ pokes previous post. You may not be getting them, Pop, because the ads you get being in a different country may be different than those here that are consistently being hacked/compromised. OR, the servers there have different software, OR there's some difference in the settings somewhere along the lines... Consider yourself lucky. They are annoying at best.

My mom's been getting them too on neo. I've gotten exactly half on neo and half on gaia. 6 times total now.

Yes, they are on both Neo and Gaia. Neo more so because the ads are on every page... Gaia when you poll and land on that result page (which hosts an ad). The big obvious problematic ad is the 'deck out your deck', and i've run into problems with some 'lotto' ad as well... but there are several less obvious trespassers as well. Spyware as well as virus issues... rolleyes I really wonder why I bother with these sites at all any more!

I got to the point with neo that I was getting these trojan things everytime I went to my nonpremie account......so now I rarely go to that account anymore.....which reminds me, I should pop in there and put my pets back in the hotel.

Well, (temporary, at least?) good news! I took all the chandelier polls and didn't get the virus pop up once! AND I saw the Deck Out Your Deck ad on neo a while ago and it didn't pop up the virus either, but I don't know if that just means Jason's Xnews in the background was taking up too much CPU usage for the virus checker to catch it, or if they've actually fixed the ad. *crosses fingers*
