Not quite. Take an image for example. Your computer sends a singnal over the internet to for example Gaia Online's server as a request, telling the server where to send the image. That sever then splits up that image and sends it in bits called "Packets". That way simultanius connections can work because insead of sending everything in big lumps so everyone has to wait for everyone else to download stuff. It can send one packet off at a time to lots of diffrent people so it can transfer stuff to lots of diffrent computers at the same time. I belive that's how it works. 3nodding
