anything that is peaceful and/or primarily herbivorous and/or odd looking.... I like weird fish, but im not a big fan of predatory fish like arowanas and piranha, nor especially vicious fish like many puffers. I like fish like plecos, cyprinids and, more herbivorous large characins like pacus.

Kuhil Loaches are my current fav. X3 I here you there. I currently have banded and brown types. 3nodding I'm also very fond of Killifish, though most types can get pricy. (I have 2 Golden Wonder Panchax myself- inexpensive and very cute.)

Labyrinth fish and tetras.
I also love Angels and Goldfish, it's really fun breeding those.

I only like a few types of fish, and fortunately for me, I own most of them LOL
I Love my goldfish, they're funny to watch, and interact with people.
My Bettas are my little fish, they hang out in my office, and my male has a 'tude, flaring at my dad, for sitting in my chair!! rofl
I love my pink con, even though he's an evil little B@stard, he's cute. 4laugh
My new dragon goby is an awesome fish, and fun to watch as he/she (don't know which yet) rolls all over in the sand we put in it's tank.
I have a corydora, just a cute little something or other.
Our piranhas (we have 2) are funny fish to watch. My fiance used to think that they were mean and nasty, and they really aren't. It's been a learning experience for him.
We have 2 plecos, who I'm not really fond of, but my fiance likes them, so they get to stay.
I really like gars, FW rays, Lungfish, and Jardini Aros.

Cichlids, catfish, sharkies, oscars, jack dempseys, bettas... <3
I love my betta, Bruce. He has it out for my boyfriend. XD He'll flare any time my bf sits in my chair or anywhere near the tank. Hehe.

I never really realized how violent my list is until you pointed that out. lol. I just kinda thought for a sec and I'm like "Huh... I do like violent fish, don't I?"

I've gotten into killifish lately. Very colorful and fun to raise. Too bad my favorite varieties live less than a year.
Guppies are cool and I'm likely to have them again at a later date. Goldfish are kind of nice but make waste too fast for me and are too apt to grow big. I'd have koi if I had a pond, but I do not. I also wish I had some time and space for some halfmoon bettas. phew. Those express shipping costs end up making them expensive, though. >.<

I love guppies~ I enjoy having the babies and watching them grow up.
As for the violent fishies~ They are a LOT of fun. My friend's dad has a red devil that likes to charge at people that walk by, it is amusing.
