Yes I've been experimenting with several builds lately, and I've come up with pretty awesome ones.

Right now my favorite build is what I like to Call [FOOD] Trapper or Foods secret weapon.

Before I had been playing with a IVEX PvP character and found it had it's ups and downs. What I didn't understand about it is why it chose Mesmer as it's 2nd profession.

So I made a Ranger/Necromancer.

Pros about this build is it's ability to scare people and make them think you're a toucher. (Con is they're going to hex you like a b***h)

My build is pretty basic trapper build. Actually I think it's the IVEX build with 2 different skills.

1. Poison Arrow
2. Distracting Shot
3. Barbed Trap
4. Troll Ungeunt
5. Flame Trap
6. Dust Trap
7. Storm Chaser
and the kicker
8. Verata's Aura

Why Aura out of all the Necromancer skills?
Because nothing more is a b***h when you're setting traps than a horde of undead coming your way. Also, you can make yourself a human trap to MM's by doing a little favorite trick of mine. Cast Storm chaser, RUN STRAIGHT INTO THE MIDDLE of the Minions and then Hit Veratas Aura.
1 of 2 things will happen. You will die and the Minions will go hostile on everyone . or 2. you'll steal the minions and they'll begin attacking your foes.

Also Storm Chaser is good for getting the hell out of the way from combat.

I've tried this build in about 5 or 6 AvA matches, and I don't really die that much. Stick with your team, and make sure you're paying attention, and it really pays off.
You could use Trappers focus instead of poison arrow, but the point is to NOT get hit while making your traps. So don't get hit.

It's a lovely little build. and I think it has a home among FOOD.

I absolutely LOVE the ritual lord build:
This could be called something like: Spirit Spam Sandwich =D

Its basically Rit/*

RITUAL LORD heart heart heart heart
Boon of Creaton
Shelter
Union
Recuperation
Shadowsong
Flesh of My Flesh
dissonance or a healing spell.


its so simple...really....TOO simple

Boon -> Rit Lord -> Shelter -> Union -> Shadowsong -> Recuperation
and boy do the spells have RANGE so i set them WAYYYY back.

Then i run around and recast as needed.
I pour all my points into Spawning/Communing/Restoration. (Mostly Spawning and Communing)


The spirit dont move so i havent decided on the effectiveness of this build in AvA...but this is the build i went 10-in-a-row with 5 times in RA xp
I dont really like playing the rit in PvE believe it or not. its kinda slow compared to cookie the assasin.

The AoE coverage of the spirits is just pure heart
