Well the other day, after my sixth form induction, me and a few friends went to the high street, and began talking to this pair of street performers. One was playing an acoustic (a Martin) and the other was playing a Gu Zheng (it's a Chinese instrument). After a little while of talking, we got to the topic of me playing guitar, at which point the acoustic player offered to let me his guitar for a little bit. That was the first time I played guitar properly in public, and a played the full version of Stairway To Heaven (yeah I know it's cliche, but it's the best fingerpicking song I know). We also jammed Wish You Were Here, in which the Gu Zheng player put an oriental, pentatonic melody over the top, which sounded really great. 3nodding
