Most Christians act more like Jesus is their servent rather than vice versa. They call on Him whenever they need Him, especially when they're desperate. They ask for miracles or things they want, but they have no true intention of pursuing Him with all their heart.
The Bible tells us we belong to Him; He purchased us with His blood (1Cor. 6:20) If we know that we belong to Him, then we should start acting like we belong to Him. Our life and future are in His hands. Instead of talking to him at our convenience, we should exist for HIS covenience. In other words, when we realize just how much He's done for us, we need to respond by serving Him in anyway we can. Not out of obligation, but out of gratefullness for what He's done for all of us.
Lord Jesus, I thank you for giving your very life for me. In return, I will serve you by giving my life to you, not out of obligation, but out of gratefullness for what you've for me. In your name. Amen
