Does anyone know how to type in kanji/kana? I figured you have to have a special program or language package or something...
But if someone could give me a hint, that would be great! heart

Do you have windows?
If so on your task bar there should be the option of a language bar. It should be set at EN for english.
Now go to your control panel and into the part for 'date, time, language and regional options' then to ' Language and Regional options'.
You should get a little screen to pop up. Then on the tabs at them top of said screen click advanced. And then select from the drop down menu '10001 (MAC- Japanese)'
The click 'Okay'.
Now the language bar I mentioned before click on it and it will bring up the options you have. Select Japanese.
Easy way to do it is to 'show' the bar, by clicking on it and that option.
Then use 'out up mode' to select which script you want to use.
And... tada you should get something like this.... ナン デス カ
(Nan desu ka was the only thing I knew that I would spell right with out mucking up)
Once you want to return the bar to its position on the task bar press the < - > button at the top and it will minimise. You can still use the tools, I just thought it may be easier up to see all the buttons when learning.
Er.. is that what you needed?
