I have 2 for you.
#1 A poor little 21 rdm (me) wanted to go see if I could walk all the way to another city cause at the time the furthest place I had been was the dunes. So I start running... and running... and running.. and finnally I make it La Theine and I'm not dead yet. I come up over the hill and I see a big friendly looking goat thing standing there, so I get ready to take a screen shot and suddenly I see "Bloodtear Baldurf hits Zonist for 489 damage" so yeah, I had to HP back to the Dunes and start over.
#2 For my rdm AF body I was running around jeuno shouting for a 60+ pt to help me out, and no one would help, so I decided to go to Castle O and scout the area, I walk into a room and see a bunch of people running around with flee on, and I see Mee Deggi the Punisher just standing directly beside me, so I calmly walk over and melee hit it, kill it, and it drops Och. Kote. I had no idea what it was at the time, so I ask the gil sellers there what an Och Kote is and they all start /sigh and /cry. Then one tells me it's worth 1.5 mil. YAY me, I spent it all on gobbie bag quests in one day though ><

I was a level 16 WHM and I'd never been anywhere other than Windurst and the Dunes before, so I randomly wander and wander...and.wander.... aaaaall the way to BASTOK.

I was SO lost and no one would help me! I caught the "right" time of day when all the Japanese players were on, so I wandered for at least an hour before stumbling into town. I get a map, see how far I've come and start weeping because it's such a long walk back!

So I'm walking back, and I see "Quadav has hit Serpico for 3 DMG" and I start RUNNING. I run ALL the way down to Valkurm with 3 armadillo-things, 2 Elementals and a whole bunch of Dingbats after me.

I zoned into the Highlands with 2HP left.

My friends and I were in Behemoth's Dominion just kicking back. There were all of these lvl 75 players there and we decided to see what they're all waiting for. Well, it took so long that two of my friends went afk for a while and I was in charge of warning them for the NM pop. Sure enough, less than a minute after they went afk, King Behemoth pops right next to us.
I kept spamming my call macros and was able to get one friend to run away. We all ended up dying even though the lvl 75 Alliance was already fighting it, but not before I took a souvenir pic:

Right after the pic, the King casted Meteor and I fell flat on my face.
We all got Raise II, but man that was the only time I actually said "OMFG!" out loud. Good times. domokun

I was but a wee level 14 Warrior. I was running to Valkurm to try and get a pt. Then I was almost there then I saw Lumbering Lambert. As soon as I heard an aggro grunt I ran for the hills not caring or knowing what it was right up until I was dead on the ground. Needless to say I am careful around that area now.

Another time was when I was in Valkurm and my pt ran by a few people fighting a nm. At the time I was wondering what it was because I didn't know what a NM was at the time. It looked like a player but the thing was faceless and had white blank eyes. Later I looked it up and it was a level 40 nm and I found a story about it being brought to a zone and it massacred a ton of people. I was glad it was gone.
