Temperature:75-79°F

Diet:Omnivorus, most foods will work okay as long as they're for tropical fish.
Behavior:Peaceful, shy. Keep 3 or more (hang out in center of tank)

Serpae Tetras

Scientific name: Hyphessobrycon eques [and many other names]
Size:2 inches
Temperature:72-80°F
pH:6.0-7.0
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Diet:Omnivorus, most foods will work okay as long as they're for tropical fish.
Behavior:Usualy peaceful, but it can get roudy at times. Serpae's are minor fin nipers so dont keep them with fish that have delicate fins.
Note:Can be hard to find in stores. Not very popular (due to the fin nipping).[EDIT]I've actualy seen them in every store I've been to, and i've even seen a neon version, I guess it was old information I found ^^; [EDIT]
