Preventer Void I always assumed Zechs infiltrated the group as part of Preventer's plan to bring them down. In fact, they say "the outcome ought to be obvious if you rewatch the show"; do you really think Zechs would leave his little sister high and dry? And I think they went with Epyon del Telos ("the next terror") specifically for poetic reasons. Hmm... it has been a while since I've watched the show or the movie... but I could see that as being a reason. Perhaps the group started on Mars, and that's why he came back with them. It would seem silly that he would come all the way back from Mars after EW unless he had a major reason to. After all, the five pilots are still in the Earth Sphere and close enough to Relena to help. That indicates that perhaps Epyon de Telos may have been a bigger threat than just that. Unfortunately, because the story was unfinished, we have to assume that it wasn't. Of course, I've considered doing roleplays and fanfiction to develop it further and see where my mind might take it.

Speaking of, why WAS that left unfinished? I know fans praise the creators for leaving many things open in the end of the series for fanfiction purposes and such, but leaving a story to hang like that is getting kind of ridiculous. Not to mention cruel. gonk

I was just re-watching a few episodes and I couldn't help but wonder...
The scene where Trieze tells Lady Une to cancel her mission to kill Relena...he sits in the window and contemplates how Zechs has always been there for him so he wants to help Zechs by saving his only living blood relative...
Ok, to my question...in the middle of his contemplation, the two little birds he set free come back to him and he says "I see. So you would rather stay here, would you?"
Was this symbolic? If so, what was it alluding to? Any ideas?

IIRC, earlier in the episode Treize freed those birds. Can't remember the context for the whole thing tho.

He was talking about something when he freed them. Perhaps the birds coming back has to do with the original thoughts he was having when he freed them, and the possibility of those thoughts being mistaken. However, I'd have to watch those two episodes again. sweatdrop
As far as P5 never being finished, I'm not exactly sure. I think it was started shortly after EW was made... so when they decided to dump Wing altogether, I guess they left P5 where it was, figuring that, if people really read it, they could see where the story would have gone anyway.
Of course, there's always the chance that Quatre's plan wasn't perfect and that things went wrong, blah blah blah... but, I think they decided not to bother elaborating. *shrugs*

its been a while since ive watched gundam wing but whatever happened to Wing Gundam? Heero's first gundam. all i can remember is that he self-detonated it and Zechs rebuilt it, and I cant remember anything after that until they force him to try out the zero suit system. can someone tell me please? thanks

Ah yes, I remember Wing Gundam's demise... Une woke up from her coma, took it to space and used it to push Treize out of the Libra cannon's way. It got hit by the Libra cannon and was utterly destroyed. 3nodding

that sucks badly. im only curious why dont they rebuild it after that and maybe have another character use that gundam like trieze because wasnt the epyon taken by zechs? then the battle would have been a better one between the 2.

Treize was killed shortly after that scene where Une rescues him. He would never have gotten to chance to see it finished in a rebuild. The 01 Gundam was almost vaporized by Libra's cannon. All that was left was the cockpit area, the head, and one arm and wing. It wasn't salvagable. It's rather surprising, considering the fact that the Gundam had more left after a self-destruct than getting hit by that beam cannon.

*chuckles* Yeah... but they all got 'upgrades' about half-way through the show. The Maguanacs started upgrades on Sandrock when they rebuilt it for Quatre. Trowa had just finished upgrades to his before he got nearly killed by Quatre, so it was sitting and waiting to go when he got his memory back. Heero left Wing 01 behind on Earth, but 'inherited' Zero from Zechs when they switched off after one of their battles. Heero gave Zechs Epyon, who had destroyed the Tallgeese in space to keep people off his trail. Deathscythe was destroyed by undercover!Trowa on orders from OZ, but the scientists rebuilt that in to Deathscythe Hell and the heavily damaged Shenlong into Altron in secret on Lunar Base while the boys were in holding. It only made sense for Heero to leave 01 behind because it just didn't match up to anything anymore. Everyone else had advanced, he had learned to work with the ZERO system, he had a stronger Gundam, why go back? *shrugs*

Very true, not to mention that there had to be that cool/strong/kick-a** MS left for Lady Une to save the day with... cool Even if she could have lived through it, it just wouldn't have been the same if she had done it with some wimpy MS...haha
BTW I was wondering...the rebuilt Sandrock and Heavyarms??? Were they really upgraded? Like upgrades you just couldn't really see from mere observation? I ask because they looked exactly the same and they seemed to have the same abilities (and/or limitations) as before, especially considering that both Heavyarms and Sandrock had to be upgraded later for space-use once the final battle moved into outer space.

I see nothing odd about a beam weapon doing more damage than a self-destruct. SDs are limited by the size of the mech, unless you want to do something along the lines of a nuclear generator overload, and that's kinda insane. Meanwhile, giant space stations with Beam Cannons of Doom tend to be the most ridiculously powerful things in sci-fi, next to the uber device type things (read Ender's Game for an example).

meimei-chan quatre's sisters... why have so many of them? wouldn't it have been enough to have a boy and a girl? i know that they were all test tube babies, but why did his father want so many daughters? well, all i need is quatre! heart heart I tihnk he dad was trying to get a son and each baby kept being a girl so he'd like 29 girls before he finally got a heir.
