Er. This was the weekly prompt last week. fanart of a book character. Seri From "Son of Avonar" by Carol Berg.
but I hadnt finished it on time.
Finished now though.

there are some kind of screwy parts. Like her hand. big time. And the window was a kind of cheap out.
.. my attention span goes out the window after the first 5 hours though....

Like I said in the prompt sticky, I really like it. The face looks just wonderful. I like the scribbly quality in this picture... you pulled it off well. :3

... it is a gem she is given at the end of the novel..
It is supposed to grow warmer whenher lover had sufficiently regained his memories and could return to her.. and if it was unsafe then she was supposed to throw the stone into fire And he would know not to come...

.. gosh. it sounds so much better in the book...

Nah, you explained it well. And that story goes in beautifully with the picture.
Why else would she be holding it in such a ruminative way, eh?

I think I'm just about in love with your coloring.
Everything looks like you drew it with the aide of inks and washes, and it just works so well.
It's fun to look at. : D

The hand holding the pink gem thing looks a bit off, though

WEll, that hand is a complete mess. Fingers frustrate me... I find it hard to colour them and have them look.. finger-y.

.. so I get fed up.. and they end up looking like.. whatever you wish to call that.
