fighter's name: luigi mario ( the elder god of pimps, as declared by Raiden )
back story: although mario has all the fame for the mario brothers games, luigi owns 99 percent of their franchise and 70 percent of nintendo, so he is really enjoying the fame far more than mario. the game "luigi's mansion" was created by mario with the last scraps of him own money to hurt luigi's image, making him look like a total wimp. luigi busted him in his grill for it, and mario said sorry immediatly.
reason for joining the showdown: he was rollin through the streets in his emerald hummer when his homies, toad and bowser, saw his poor as hell brother fighting in the showdown tournament. not wanting to be outshined by mario yet again, he decided to join the tourney as well......

back story: After many years of being the fifth wheel of Mystery Inc & getting no respect, Scooby cracked Shaggy in the sack. He then gave Fred the finger. Giving Daphne a big wet slobbery doggie kiss Scooby hit the bricks to go find his true calling in life.
reason for joining the showdown: One day someone tried to jack the Scoobsters scooby snacks. This roaylly peeved him off. Gettin all red faced with rage Scooby busted the guys melon all over the ground. From that day forward he decided to be a fighter. Hearing of the showdown Scooby joined up to kick tail & take names.

Back story:
Pikachu had been travelling with several other trainers, who frankly, he wanted to kill.
Well, it was one of those times, where, pikachu was just pissed.
Ash tried to pet him.
Pikachu bit his finger off.
He then proceded to stab Brock in the eye with a ash's pen.
And we really can't say what he did to Misty.
So, pikachu was fed up with them all.
Oh, and the furry b-tard learned how to talk.
Why:
Pikachu has decided that he is his own master.
So f-ck all pokemon trainers out there.
If you mess with the mouse, he'll kick you in the balls.

back story: After losing his god- like essence in trying to destroy Onaga: the Dragon King, Raiden had lost his will to protect the people of earthrealm. As long as Earthrealm itself was safe, he was happy. Shao Khan had commanded shang tsung to put Raiden under a spell, he would think that EVERYONE was a threat to earthrealm.
