Alright. Here we go. Seatbelt laws. Yea, i understand them... But arn't laws supposed to go towards preventing you from hurting OTHERS? But you know what.. I don't care. Fine people for not being safe, whatever.
What's really pissing me of is that this law, this law to protect people that are too dumb to wear a seatbelt, is being raised. Meaning, the fine is being raised. You know what SHOULD be raised? Speeding tickets. That affects the people arround you, and no ones giving a ******** about that one. I'm fairly sure speeding kills more people than not wearing seatbelts. The reason speed limits are set in places are because of the rate that someone will walk out into the street, then they calculate about how much time you would need to stop. Guess what happens when you're going over the speed limit and someone comes out like predicted? You can't stop. You run them over.
What else that pisses me off about this is the comertial: This police officer is standing in the middle of the road, a man in a jeep is driving towards him. (Not wearing his seatbelt.) He suddenlly notices the cop, and swerves, causing him to flip the jeep in a crashing shattering scene. Which then slowly slides right up behind the cop. Then the cop says to buckle up because it saves lives.
And I'm like GET THE ******** OUT OF THE STREET. THAT SAVES LIVES TOO.
