Ausi regretted upsetting Jini so, but she couldn't bring herself to tell white lies to them, no matter how much easier they would have taken it.

"It's alright, Jini, he's still watching us from the stars." She smiled reassuringly, but with a hint of sadness still in her eyes. Thoughts of her previous mate did still fill her heart with joy at the memory of the good times they had, but with it always came the feeling of loss. She need only redirect her mind elsewhere, however, to feel relief again.

"There is Daimyn, however, and I'm sure that he'll be happy to meet you." She smiled again, warring inwardly with the feeling of uncertainty. She'd just have to take Nukta aside when she saw him, explain things to him. He was grown, he would surely understand by now. After all, when he'd lost his family he'd gone out and created a new one as well, had he not? It wasn't that she wanted to throw that in his face as defense, merely, it was something she'd just realized.

Jini didn't really understand how anyone could watch anything from the stars, especially if they were dead. But he wasn't one to believe his family, no matter how little he knew them, would lie to him in such a way. So he sniffed slightly, but nodded his head. At least he had another grandda, right? It just made their family bigger, even if one of the members couldn't be with them anymore.

Ada wasn't sure what she believed on the matter. But she didn't think about it. She wasn't the brooding type, after all. "I look forward to it," she said crisply, her voice blunt and open. While some might find this unfriendly it was actually a good sign-it meant she trusted Ausi and accepted her. Not that she wouldn't have been blunt not trusting her, but she would have sounded more careful and looked far more frustrated. Instead she was relaxed, in her own manner.

Ausi was just about to respond when the first bellow sounded, and the sound was so angry that the voice was barely dicernable. Mosi's ears went flat and the little female actually ducked down into the grass out of fear. She'd never heard her father sound that angry before, she barely recognized the voice at all!

By the time she looked up again their grandmother was off and running towards the sound, pace urgent beyond belief.

Jini could only stare in shock as his mother bounded off in a similar manner, though the energy and fury coming off her was far different from Ausi. He knew his mother could be crazy when she was angry but...he had never seen he completely in a rage before...just the normal ones she had with dad that seemed half-hearted or teasing. He ducked with his sister, looking frightened as well. What was going on?!
