if you have a bad second (which is sitting with your legs open as wide as you can for all you people who don't know your terms) then what you do is push against a wall and just sit there for as long as you can then pushcloser when you can get that width without the wall.

sit in like indian style, except with your knees on on top of the other. after you get in that position place the top foot flat on the floor. Your knee should 'pop' up. hook your elbow and twist as far as you can. try to keep both sides of your butt on the ground. This should stretch out your back. After about 30 sec., (you shouldn't bounce in any stretch you do try to keep it constant)Relax over your legs. this will strech out your legs and back out very gently, but it really works! Do both sides.

do the frontal splits, not continously, but going up and down so you wont get injuried. on the side push as far as you can go with you chess against the floor, then sit with the legs spread open and lean your back to the right side, the left, ...

Thats not right you should never bob up and down while stretching!!! scream You should hold your splits longer too I hold them for 30 seconds usually and about a min. or two in class.

I have all three splits and frog on my back down most of the time, so I have lots of tips!
1. For frog, which I recommend doing first, before you do any of the others. What helps a lot is if you find a couch, and sitting in the frog slide your feet under the couch. This will make you frog go down faster. Remember, always do it on your back, and not just your stomach!
2. Sit in your left and right splits 5 minutes a day, if you want, 10 min, but no more or you will hurt your legs. If you do that I guarantee you will get you splits down!
3. For middle, go and sit on the ground near a wall, not in strata (feet spread a part or as some people call it second) then with your feet touching the wall, slowly climb you feet up the wall, so your feet are in a pike (together, and straight) and your back is on the ground, and your butt is touching the wall. Then, let your feet fall to the side, so you are sitting in second, or as I call it strata. Sit there, and ever now and then try with out using your hands to pull your feet up, I guarantee that this will get you farther on your middle splits!
Hope I helped! biggrin
