Cyrus sighed contently and stepped out of the shower, stretching his arms out behind himself and shutting off the spray. He dried and dressed, absently debating whether to risk trying to find food in the fridge or to take the safer route of ordering pizza. Maybe Jacky wouldn't mind going out for a change...

He tossed the damp towel in the hamper and wandered into the kitchen, briefly glancing at the fridge and shaking his head. Nope. Wasn't even going to look this time. Last time he swore he'd seen something covered in a brilliant green fuzz - that couldn't be non-lethal. Instead he turned his attenti-

"Cyrus!"

Well, he would've turned his attention to the list of restaurants that delivered Jaclyn hadn't decided to shriek like that. Still wincing at the ringing in his ears, he whirled to scowl in the direction of the living room. "What?!"

"Get in here!" This cry was punctuated by what sounded like the shriek of an infant.

Confused, Cyrus made his way into the living room. "What was tha'..." He trailed off and blinked at Jaclyn. And the thing she was holding. A pair of intense eyes peered out from a bundle of purple and brown cloth. There was a bit of fidgeting from elsehwere in the cloth while Jaclyn glared at him, and a tiny hand reached out, making rather demanding grabbing motions at him. "Where the heck did that come from?!"

"How am I supposed to know?! It had your name on it," snapped Jaclyn. She set the infant back down on the couch, for the moment ignoring the child's disgruntled whimpers and kicking. "Care to explain?"

"How did it even get in here?" He crept closer, leaning over the baby and prodding at her outstretched hand with a finger. She latched onto it and tugged it towards her mouth, squealing in frustration when she couldn't quite get it.

Jaclyn blinked and pointed at a card lying on the table - Cyrus's name was clear as day on it. "Shouldn't you know that?!"

"I don't know anything!" he cried, snatching up the card and looking it over.

"Well that much at least is obvious!" She paused a moment, managing to calm herself, and gestured at the card. "What's it say?"

Cyrus glanced sidelong at her through narrowed eyes. "Didn't you read it?" He sighed and continued skimming the bit of paper when she shook her head. There wasn't much else written on it. Just a map to a place called Legends Headquarters. Beneath that was Name: Zita. Handing it back to Jaclyn, he sat down on the other side of the child. "Just her name and a map," he said, poking Zita's cheek curiously. She gurgled and grabbed for his finger again.

"So. I guess...you're just gonna take her to this Legends place?"

"Guess so." He tilted his head to one side, frowning curiously at Zita and then up at Jaclyn. "So... How did she get in?"

Cy's Journal 001
Okay. So. There's a baby. No idea how the baby got there, but there is one. And she seems to really, really like me for some reason. She throws a fit if I leave the room for more than a minute. It's really weird.

Jacky's not too happy about it either. She keeps saying I should go to this place on a card that was with her. I think I'll do that later. Runt's crying again.

Cy Entry 002
The past couple of weeks with this kid have been okay, I guess. Jacky still wants me to stop by this Legend place, but I haven't gotten around to it just yet. I stopped into the clinic and saw Angie though. And Tinania. They both seemed to like Zita.

She's really not that bad, I guess. She sleeps through the night and everything. And she likes to listen to Jacky's music, which is fine with me since it keeps her quiet when I'm not around. She also really likes Jacky's pokemon. Especially this little rat-thing that says 'vee' a lot. That keeps her calm too.

She doesn't really seem that different from other babies. I think. Except Luna, but Luna's a pretty unique baby herself. Not many can talk with their minds like her. But, um. I think I wanna keep Zita. I just..don't think Jacky will be too happy about that. But oh well.

[Roleplay with Aquene at the GMFC]

Jiora
Cyrus grumbled a bit as he slipped into the clinic, glancing around warily. There didn't seem to be any of his family here... Good.

He settled into a nearby chair, glad to get off his feet for a while, and set Zita down on the floor to crawl around. She could probably use a bit of time just being a baby, after all. ...and it was nice to not deal with her squirming to get down for a change. He watched her make a beeline for the play area at the other end of the lobby and smiled a bit. Maybe he could catch a quick nap while he was here.

Neith-Kia
Elle stepped into the cool clinic with a very obvious sigh of relief, and started to peel off layers of clothing that protected her very sensitive skin. Sunscreen didn't even work that well, it only seemed to last a short while, and Elle hated the smell anyway.

As she stripped off the light colored clothing, Elle peered around to see if anyone else was here. She grinned shyly at Cy and the baby in the play area, remembering him from the drunken night. Elle wasn't sure if he'd remember her or not, so she just called, "Hi!".

Once the long ankle length jacket and hat were taken off and thrown casually over a nearby chair, Elle flopped onto a chair to let that lovely air conditioner do it's thing and cool her down. Her feet hurt, they were sunburnt from before. They were the only thing Elle hadn't covered up tightly. It was painful to put shoes on sunburnt feet. All they had on them were thongs and those were falling off her feet as well.

Elle wasn't sure if she liked summer. Maybe it would be better if she knew how to swim.

Behind her, a female Neith was nearby. She had a baby in her arms and a bag on one shoulder, and had been chasing Elle for a while. Why hadn't Elle heard her calling?!

Finalyl, she came int othe clinic and caught up with the teenager. "Elle! I was calling you. I need you to babysit Aquene, I have to go shopping." Without waiting for a 'Okay!', Neith had put the baby on the ground, the bag on Elle's clothes and had hurried out again. She knew better than to wait for Elle's 'NO'.

Aquene didn't take long to discover where the toys were, and speed-crawled straight over... to Cy.

And started to inspect his feet.

Jiora
Cyrus glanced over at the girl who'd spoken, arching a brow at all the clothing she was removing. How could she stand all that? Wasn't she hot or anything? He waved in greeting, trying to remember if he'd seen her somewhere before.

His attention quickly shifted to Neith when she dumped the babysitting on Elle, and then Aquene. "Uh.." He pricked an ear forward and wiggled on of his feet, grinning just a bit. "Aren't you a cutey~" He glanced back at the other teen and gestured toward the baby. "She your sister or something?"

Zita, who'd found a very pretty block to chew on, watched the entire scene with wide eyes. So many people! And the two big ones had funny ears on their heads. She dropped the block and reached up to pat her own ears, her mouth twisting into a babyish frown. Why didn't she have neat ears like that?

Neith-Kia
"Kinda. Mom adopted her, but she asks me to babysit her a lot of the time." Elle made a face, but she didn't put much effort into it. She did adore the baby, after all.

Aquene ignored the talk, checking the foot. Did he go owow when he walked too? She got onto her belly, attempting to peer underneath the feet, little sparkly wings buzzing as fast as possible. They were so close to Cy, that they kept buzzing right through his leg as if he wasn't there.

Elle watched for a few moments as her tail lazily swished from side to side, and then asked, "Aquene isn't bothering you, is she? ...oh, and how... um. How are you feeling?"

Jiora
Cyrus tilted his head at the baby, eyes widening just a bit when he realized her wings were going through his leg. How...strange. He resisted the urge to reach down and poke them curiously. "What? Um, no, she's not bothering me at all."

He looked at Elle again, smiling curiously. "I could be better, I guess.." A long pause. He knew he knew her from somewhere... "I.. Do I know you? You look really familiar... I just can't remember where I've seen you." He blushed a bit, hoping she wouldn't take offense to not being remembered.

Zita squealed a bit. How dare they all stay over there! Couldn't they see that she was over here? And what was that other baby doing to her daddy's foot? She picked up one of her own feet to look at, as though that might explain the other baby's fascination with feet.

Neith-Kia
"I told her this morning to not touch my feet, because they had owwies." Elle explained, flushing a bit. "She's been checking feet since."

Aquene apparently had decided he didn't have owwies, because she started ot poke at his foot. Once her curiosity was satisfied, Aquene sat back and grinned a huge grin. Then she saw the other baby... who was looking at her feet. Big person forgotten, Aquene speed-crawled over to peer at the other baby's foot. "Owwee?"

Wriggling in her seat, a bit uncomfortable, Elle nodded. "Yea, I was there that night. When you guys were all drinking. I think you were already drunk when I got there, you and Angie thought my tail was a snake."

Jiora
Cyrus blinked a bit and took on a rather embarassed look - she'd been there that night? "I think I remember the bit about the snake.. Um. It doesn't really look like one." He rubbed his arm and glanced away briefly. "Uh. I don't think any of us will be doing that again any time soon."

Zita blinked at the other baby. She'd been so distracted examining her foot she hadn't even noticed her approach. "Ow?" She poked at her foot. It didn't seem as though it hurt. "No ow."

Ooh~ That other baby had funny things on her back! Zita leaned over to peer curiously at Aquene's wings. Forgetting about the other baby's fascination with feet, she pointed excitedly at them. "Wha?" she squealed. She wanted things like those too!

Neith-Kia
"No... when I saw Angie, I think she said the same thing." Elle paused, and then got off the chair. She wandered over to Cy and sat down without wincing. Elle didn't know him well yet. But she had the feeling that seing as she'd seen him at his weirdest, made her able to relax around him more.

...weird. Elle decided she should try and hang out with people drunk more often, maybe she could be realyl relaxed around near-strangers then.

"Thanks. I didn't think so, but maybe the drink just makes you see weird things." Elle answered, shrugging in a hope that it would make Cy feel better about her seeing him like that. "I didn't drink... and yea. I fell asleep. I was kind of worried when I woke up and almost everyone was gone."

Aquene poked gently at Zita's foot and decided there wasn't any owwies either. Why did only bigtail have owwies?

"Wha?" Aquene answered, and tried to twist around to see what was so exciting. She couldn't see what was exciting! Whenever Aquene twisted, her wings twisted as well and were just out of her sight.

Jiora
He blinked. "You've seen Angie? How is she?" For a moment he seemed ready to continue with a litany of questions, but thought better of it and closed his mouth.

Cyrus nodded a bit. "Yeah, it probably does. It makes you forget things too.. I don't really remember much of what happened," he admitted. "Don't worry though. I'm pretty sure everyone made it home safely anyway."

Zita squeaked disapprovingly and crawled closer. Why couldn't the other baby see the wings? They were right there! She pointed again, doing her very best to look urgent about it all. She had to know what those were!. "Wha? Pree!"

Neith-Kia
"She ... well, I think she's okay. She must have still had a hangover though, it was the day after that night." Elle grinned weakly, adding, "She said she felt like she was a fishbowl. Or that she was in oen... or something."

Elle paused, nodded. "I think they must have, I looked around a bit first. I was still worried though, I was afraid I'd see everyone at the clinic with broken noses or something because I hadn't been there to stop them from being stupid. I saw those new anti-drinking adds for teenagers when I got home, and it made me feel worse."

Aquene continued to twist, until she fell onto one side. Then she did see something, a strange little glitter of something. It was hiding from her then! She told it that she was not happy, but Aquene didn't get an answer from that-which-was-hiding-behind-her.

Jiora
"Yeah.. My hangover lasted a while too." He frowned a bit. So Angie hadn't said anything about how they'd woken up? That was good... "I just felt like my head wanted to explode though."

"Well I know Bronnie and Rhiannon were safe, and I saw Tinny and Angie.. ..was there anyone else there?" He glanced at her with a bit of a guilty expression. It was his fault they'd even had the alcohol in the first place, after all. "It would've been my fault if anyone was hurt anyway, so don't feel bad."

Zita pouted sulkily - it seemed the other baby wasn't going to tell her the secret of the pretty thing after all. Well that was fine! She had pretty marks on her arm instead, and those were just as good!

..though now she was bored. She patted the other baby's arm and told her they should find a game to play, though it came up in a babble of nonsense as was to be expected with babies.

Neith-Kia
"It wouldn't have been your fault, because I didn't drink. You guys all weren't thinking right anyway." Elle shrugged, and nudged at him. "So even if you did bring alcohol, it would have been my fault for not making sure you guys didn't try and practice kisses with trees or something and gotten hurt."

That sounded odd... but from the way Elle remembered the girls talking, she wouldn't have been surprised if they HAD tried practicing kisses on trees. Or rocks. Or the bottles. Or on each other, even.

Aquene sat up, and peered around after Zita told her something. She answered seriously in her own sort of babble, and scratched her elbow. She agreed, even though she wasn't sure what the other said. They should... do that!

...wait, what was on that other one's arm. Aquene got close to Zita's arm and peered curiously. "Ooooo..."

Jiora
He rolled his eyes and slouched in his chair. "But I'm the one who actually brought the stuff, so anything that happened is because of me. If I hadn't brought it or hadn't let everyone have some, none of it would've happened." ...though he probably would've done a wonderful job of amusing everyone else with his drunken antics.

"...why would we kiss trees though?"

Zita squealed in delight, fairly certain that Aquene had agreed. ...it'd sounded like she had, at least. She started to turn toward the toybox again and paused when the other baby took a sudden interest in her arm. Glancing down at the markings, she grinned tooth- ..er...gummily. She poked the mark proudly and babbled away about how it was a special thing. ...even if she wasn't quite sure why, but it was!

Neith-Kia
"You didn't force it down their throats though, and so the only person who you would have been responsible for was you because you drank it for yourself. But even then you couldn't do much when drunk, because you were drunk..." Elle replied, "But I wasn't drunk so I was there to watch. And I could have easily said to not drink it or something anyway. ...oh. You were all talking about kissing and stuff like that. I didn't pay much attention."

Aquene did like how the other reacted when she'd started to inspect the arm, so she continued to do it. It really was impressive... did it do anything? She started to poke it, making 'oooh' noises as she did. It was interesting, even if it didn't!

Jiora
He grumbled a bit and watched Elle from the corner of his eye, not quite sure what to say to that. "... It's still my fault." Not giving her a chance to argue, he continued on. "So are you a kid from here too? Or do you just have family from here, or..?" He trailed off, not sure what other option there might be.

Zita beamed proudly at all the attention and continued with her babbling, though it didn't really mean anything by this point. If it kept the other baby's attention on her, though, then it was great!

Neith-Kia
Elle couldn't help but grin. She'd won! That was so cool... although, how could she not? She was right, after all. "Still don't think it is. Yea, I come from here too. Literally, I think, maybe in a room here. ...I was made in a test tube."

Oddly enough, Elle didn't feel squeamish admitting where she was conceived. It was different, being made under a microscope than the other way.

Aquene didn't know what to do, so she checked her arms. She wasn't getting it, why didn't she have it too? She looked up at Zita in wonder, and sat back. This one had to be really special to be given crayon marks that stayed!

Jiora
"It so is," he mumbled. Cyrus threw a quick glance towards the hall that housed the doctor's office and exam rooms. "Really? That sounds cool." Maybe he'd been made here too... It might explain why his mother was so reluctant to talk about his father. Maybe if he asked Miss Kamiki she'd be able to tell him.

Zita peered curiously at Aquene's arms for a moment, wondering why the other baby had stopped looking at her arms. Maybe she'd just gotten overwhelmed by them. She tilted her head, wobbling just a bit to stay upright, and cooed softly. Were they going to play a game now?

Neith-Kia
"Is not." Elle's ears were sensitive enough to pick up on it. She grinned at him though. She'd seen him drunk, and then beat him in an argument! It was impossible to not be relaxed around him. "So, they're all okay? Doesn't matter who's to blame or not then."

Of course, it did really. Because Elle had won.

Aquene's eyes snapped up to Zita, and she answered it with a funny little coo of her own. Again, she wasn't sure what the other meant. But MarkedArm probably knew all kinds of things that Aquene didn't? She waited to see what the other would do next.

Jiora
He grumbled a bit and decided against sticking his tongue out at her - no point in dragging the argument on any longer. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure they are." ...aside from Angie, maybe, anyway. He hoped she wasn't too terribly mad at him. It was not going to be fun talking to her whenever he did manage to track her down.

He stretched out in his chair for a moment before relaxing again, tilting his head to peer at her curiously. "So.. What's your family like?"

Zita slumped forward to her hands and knees, crawling towards the pile of building blocks. They could make a castle now! She picked up the one she'd been chewing on and turned around to offer it to Aquene, burbling happily at her.

Neith-Kia
"Um. Well... I right now live with only my mom and with Aquene in the town. We go on the weekends to the country place though, it has horses and elves. And some pets, but half of them don't like summer." Elle was thinking of Enid when she said that, the sabortoothed cat creature had taken to sleeping in the basement for most of the time now.

"And I've got another mom, but I don't know where she is." Elle didn't mention Winny. Just talking about Kochi was hard enough. "What about your family?"

Aquene crawled after her, attention going to the blocks. They werne't as interesting as the people, but she accepted the block handed to her with a happy grin, turning it over and over and over to see if it did something special.

...it didn't.

She looked up at Zita, confused. And then stuck it on her head. Was it a hat?

Jiora
"You've got more than one house?" Wow. And here he thought he'd been spoiled enough with his mother's manor. Though there was that winter getaway they'd gone to for Christmas, but he wasn't certain they actually owned that place.

"Um.. Well I don't really live with my family right now. Aside from Zita, I mean." He nodded at the babies. "Since she's mine and all. My mom's got a big manor out in the country, and she lives there with her other kids.. My aunt's got a place in town. It's just a little apartment though. I think I liked the country estate better.."

Zita blinked at the winged baby, staring dumbly for a few moments. Just what on Gaia was she doing? She'd thought everyone knew what blocks were for. Making a great show of sighing and shaking her head in an exagerrated, childish fashion, she picked up a few blocks and began stacking them on eachother. It was supposed to go like this, not on heads.

Neith-Kia
"Yea, but we only rent one. The one in town. I think Mom just didn't like being in the other house, she likes being close to everything. I want to move back out again though." Elle shrugged, then blinked. He was a dad? Already? That was really weird. "I don't have an aunt or anything, just sisters. Lots of sisters. No brothers though."

Aquene didn't seem to be bothered by the other baby's reaction, she was now distracted by the HARD task of keeping it on her head. It was fun! She wobbled, and wriggled, and tried to keep her head reeeaaally still so that it didn't slip off. When it did... Aquene picked it up and tried again.

Jiora
"Well she's not really my aunt. I just called her that cuz she was older than me when I was growing up.. I..think she's about my age now. She grows really slow or something." He flicked an ear towards her. "I've only got one sister, but I do have a few brothers. They're all younger than me though."

Zita pouted at being ignored. Couldn't Aquene see that castle-building was much better than block-hats? ...though that did look fun. Sort of. Not that it was at all better than castle-building, of course! Still...

She picked up a block and put it on her own head, trying her best to look like she'd thought of it all on her own.

Neith-Kia
"Oh, okay. My bigger sister was like that, I don't think she's aged more than a few years. I just thought of them all as big sisters. Even the adults." Elle peered up at Cy's ears. "Hey, they're cool. Do you have human ears too, or just the furry ones?"

She couldn't ever imagine not having fleshy ears...

Aquene watched the other copy her, and felt all big and good. Maybe she was the smarter one, even if she didn't have crayon on her arm? She continued to try and get it to stay, as if she was showing the other. It wasn't working so well.

Jiora
He blinked a bit and reached up to touch one of his ears, as though he really needed a reminder of what they were like. "Um..no? These are the only ears I have."

Zita's block seemed to balance a bit easier - probably because her hair was in dreadlocks that helped keep it from falling off as much. Though she did throw bigger fits whenever it did topple down. Didn't it know it was supposed to stay?! Stupid block...

Cyrus glanced at the pair of babies from across the room, sighing a bit at Zita. "She's not usually this cranky.."

Neith-Kia
"Wow. That's weird, but in a good way. Do they get pools of water in them if it's raining or in teh shower...?" Elle flushed a bit at the shower part, but she hoped it wasn't noticable. After all... they might get water? "MAybe she's tired. In fact... I should probably go home anyway. Mom won't be happy if she comes home and finds Aquene cranky because she hasn't had a nap."

Aquene wasn't much better than Zita when it came to the block falling. It had done it so many times, how come it didn't just stay? Maybe it couldn't, maybe it was a falling-block.

She threw it at a pile of toys, where it bounced off harmlessly.

Jiora
He flicked his ears a bit and shook his head. What a...weird question. ...and why was she blushing now? "Um..only if I'm looking up at the water or something." He glanced at Zita and nodded a bit. "That's probably it. She's been up for a while now."

Zita blinked as the block hit the toys - when had that happened? Maybe it'd jumped out of the other baby's hands! What a bad block it must be. She frowned down at her own block and gave it a good scolding to ensure it wouldn't try the same thing.

The block, of course, simply sat there.

Neith-Kia
Elle stood up. "Well... um. Bye then!"

She went over to the door, put onthe clothing layers and the bag and went to pick up Aquene. "Come on, we'll go home for a N A P thingie."

Elle left, with Aquene trying to figure out what a N A P was.

Jiora
Cyrus smiled and waved after her. "Seeya, Elle."

He stood up and stretched again, crossing the room to scoop Zita up. "C'mon, runtling. Time to get some shut-eye," he said, exiting the clinic as well.

Jiora
This seemed to be the place. ...it was, wasn't it? For what must've been the fifth time, Cyrus checked the address on the building with the one that'd been printed on the slip of paper left with Zita. His brain, for the fifth time, assured him that this was the right place. Even so, he likely would've stood on the step and checked the address another time or two if Zita hadn't decided that standing out in the cold was not the thing to do and begun to kick and fuss irritably.

"Right, right," the teen mumbled, pulling open the door and making his way inside. He blinked in surprise at all the people inside - all with babies. Were there a lot of these mysterious babies that appeared like magic, then? "Er.. This is the," he paused to check the slip of paper again, "Legend headquarter's, right..?" Maybe this wasn't the ri- WHOA. That one was yellow - a bit like Rune, he supposed. Cyrus found himself staring at the planets in orbit around Alun - though, really, who wouldn't? It was quite fascinating.

Unless you were Zita, of course. She seemed much more interested simply getting down. After all, how was she to do anything stuck up in Cyrus's arms? He got the hint after a minute or so of squirming and set the girl down on the floor. With a triumphant squeal she pushed herself into a sitting position, peered curiously at the other infants, and...promptly stuck the end of her scarf in her mouth. Ah, the bliss of a child with things to chew on.

Puchiko
Lun's jaw dropped at the site of the ball.

OH. OH. Okay. Wow. He had to touch that. It was - it was - it was so beautfiul! His eyes went wide at the sight of it and he "ooo"ed in appreciation, once more his hand going out to touch.

Then he froze up, bent forward to study it, and grinned.

Well! Those looked awful familiar.

Beaming with pride, Lun pointed up to his planets. He already had those, see? But those weren't for playing with, he had learned. Anytime someone so much as touched a single planet Lun ended up sprawled on his back or front for some odd reason. The only person who could ever touch them was Lun, and he did so, grabbing a blue planet and carefuly, carefully, pulling it out of orbit to spin in his palm. It took a bit of concentration - written in wrinkles across Lun's see-through forehead - but it lingered, instead of snapping back up into orbit.

There, see? He had a pretty, round thing too! Just like Karan. Lun turned expectantly to Guin, waiting for her to pull out her own round object. This was a fun game!

Pink Lemonade
"Yep, coffee EVERYWHERE." Pink said in response to DS. "And why is your lab underground? Secret food growings?" She asked with a wink and a slight nudge to Puchi's side.

Guinevere petted Awoon on the head gently, carefull not to touch the plants for she was getting better at self control. "Pretty thingies round your head." She commented, pointing at the zomming planets, mesmorized by them untill she heard Karan stirring. Seeing the ball she moved a little bit away from Awoon, setting herself up for the game.

"Hello there!" Pink called to the new people that came into the HQ.

Puchiko
"For - for reasons!" Puchiko stammered, straightening. Being underground wasn't SUSPICIOUS, was it? She stared around with narrowed eyes, suddenly paranoid, and the unfortunate victim of her glare happened to be poor, unsuspecting Cyrus.

"It is!" she barked, not noticing him stare at her own child. "We are Legend guardians. THERE IS NOTHING SUSPICIOUS ABOUT THIS."

There. That ought to... clear the air, or something.

Alun giggled, under Guin's attentions, head cool to the touch. If she pressed a little harder, her fingers would possibly travel right through Lun's gelatinous skin; as it was, they were already sinking in slightly.

DivineSaturn

Karan had enough experience to know that the round floaty things were special. And if someone showed him something special, he should show something special back. It was only fair. And in this case, he really really wanted to.

He dropped the ball, remembering enough to roll it lightly towards Guinevere. The game had lost some of its interest. Carefully he picked up one end of his long scarves- the golden sun end- and draped it in front of him for Alun to admire. He was starting to like it more himself actually, which made it even more special to share.

Puchiko
Lun gaped, obviously in awe, of the silky object being held out in front of him. Was - was he supposed to touch? Was this part of the game? He swallowed and, concentration broken, the little planet danced right back into orbit. It was as if it had never been removed.

Lun glanced back over his shoulder at Guin. She didn't want him to touch it last time, but maybe it was all right now?

Ah, well, no time like the present!

Before any other Legends could react, Lun pressed his palm flat against the scarf with a delighted squeal. Soft! A different kind of soft though, not like Seven's wings, but a sort of... liquidy soft, like his hair. Lun liked this scarf very, very much.

Jiora
Cyrus stared at Puchi - what was she yelling at him for? His ears pinned back as he took on a wide-eyed look of perplexion, tail twitching nervously. "I.. I didn't.. Um. As you say, ma'am?" Hopefully he wouldn't have to deal with that one too much.

Though, she'd had answered his question - sortof. At least he'd found the right place.

Zita tilted her head at the other babies and burbled around her scarf. Why weren't they coming over here? She was much more amazing than all those round things, wasn't she? Not that the round things weren't neat too - very neat, now that she looked closer.

...she dropped her scarf and crawled towards them. Such interesting roundy-things were certainly worthy of her attention! And maybe those other babies too.

Pink Lemonade
Guinevere's hand sunk a little into Awoon's head and her eyes light up. "WOOOOW!" She said, rather loudly, watching her good hand sink in and out of her new friend's head as she moved it. She brought her hand back to her chest and asked, "It hurt?" not wanting to do something that would hurt Awoon. The ball stopped before her and she gently rolled it, totally missing Awoon but going towards the new legend.

"You...ok Puchi?" Pink asked tentatively, moving a little closer to DS on the couch.

DivineSaturn

Stage one, acception of his special object- complete. That meant, in the protocol that Karan's mind had invented, that he could touch the round floaty things. That was always how it had worked before. And so with hands outstretched he reached up towards the circle of floating orbs. They all looked so neat! He wondered if they would feel like his ball or not.

Karan may not have noticed the newcomers, but DS did, and scooted closer to Pink in an attempt to make room. As Pink was scooting the other way, her plan wasn't very effective, but that was the way of things. She was also a bit perturbed by the outburst, and decided to reach out to the young man instead.

"It's alright," she said in what she hoped was a soothing voice. "You can sit. We don't bite. I think."

Puchiko
"Fine!" Puchiko shrilled. Just fine and dandy! No one suspected a thing. NO ONE. Thus, everything was fine.

Deep breaths. In, out, in, out, inhale, exhale, remember your yoga.

A pleasant smile finally came to rest on Puchiko's features. "I'm fine, thank you very much,"

Nope, it didn't hurt one bit! Lun was used to things going through him. Heck, Puchi had poked a spoon in him once and it got stuck, and she had to reach in and pull it out and he barely felt it! Though it did tickle, so he giggled slightly.

Pink Lemonade
Guinevere smiled and saw Karan going for the orbs. He had showed Awoon his scarf so he was allowed to play with the orbs. Her hand going through his head was cool and all but the orbs still amazed her. She instinctivly cralwed over to her bag where she had deposited Teddy to bring it back as an offering to Awoon.

As she grasped Teddy she noticed the ball she had hit away going towards a new legend. This one had pretty scarves like Karan! She smiled and waved her bad hand at the new legend, exposing it for only a moment before she realized what she was doing and withdrew it back into the arm of her cape.

"I know I don't bite." Pink said, looking at Puchi in an unsure if she bit sort of way.

Puchiko
The planets felt an awful lot like pebbles that had been smoothed over in water, but oddly enough, they were just as gelatinous to the touch as Alun himself - like they were made out of the same material, or something.

But there wasn't much time to analyze the strange texture of the planets. Lun's giggle was suddenly interrupted as he landed face first on the floor, fall broken only by Karan's scarf which, unfortunately, wasn't all that effective. After a moment, Lun pushed himself up, giggling once more. So THAT'S how the game was played! Well, it hurt his nose slightly, but it was fun, he supposed.

Karan's turn to fall on his face! Lun grabbed him behind his ears and attempted to push him down on the floor, still bubbling over with laughter.

Jiora
Zita blinked for a moment, staring at the ball rolling towards her. Another blink. ..oh! Of course! It must've come to her because it realized she was best. She flopped onto her belly and reached out to poke at it, letting out a happy coo. This roundy-thing had other roundy-things in it! She wasn't quite sure if it was better than the roundy-things floating around Alun or not, but it was still very neat.

She almost didn't notice Guinevere, only looking up in time to see a brief motion of the girl tucking her hand back into her cape. Tilting her head, she sat up and shook the ball at her. "Wha?" The strange roundy-thing had to have a name, after all.

Cyrus tilted an ear at DS before turning to look at her, managing a bit of a smile. He still seemed a bit on edge from Puchi's outburst, but the woman didn't seem to be dangerous or anything, so it must be safe. That didn't stop him from eyeing her warily as he sat down, doing his best not to crowd the women. "Er.." Well, what now? Introductions seemed most proper.. "I'm Cyrus. And, um, the dark-skinned baby is Zita."

Pink Lemonade
Guinevere went to turn back to Awoon when she saw him fall on his face and get up almost in one swoop motion. THAT WAS SO COOL! As she went to crawl back over to him with Teddy she heard the new legend. She waved her good hand in a come here motion. "Thatsa ball." She said, nodding her head to afirm what she just said. "Come pway with us?" She asked the dark-skinned legend before trotting over to Awoon and holding out Teddy.

"You play with Teddy, I pway with those!" She said almost flinging Teddy at Awoon as she went toward the planets, grasping her hand around one of the plants, watching her fingers sink into that as well.

"My name's Pink and my little girl is in the cape over there, Guinevere." She said, indicating her child with a hand. "Your baby is very cute." She told Cyrus, commenting on the dark-skinned legend.

DivineSaturn

Introductions again. DS half hoped that no other strangers would stop by, but dutifully answered. "I'm DS, and the too-pale boy with the scarves is Karan. It's a pleasure, Cyrus-san."

That felt weird! But why did Awoon go on the floor? Was it a new game he was trying to teach? And why was he pushing him down? Was it his turn? But he could do it by himself! Karan struggled against the pushing, but Guinevere's proximity made it even harder to yank free. There were too many people pushing on him. And next to the floor, it was too dark. Very clearly he inhaled and spoke. "No!"

Puchiko
Alun froze, hands still behind Karan's ears, eyes wide. That word didn't make much sense to him, but there was something very stern to it, and Lun retracted his hands sheepishly.

Then a fist closed around a planet and the baby fell on to his back, blinking stupidly at the ceiling.

That - that one almost hurt, sort of. He didn't like this game!

Lun pushed himself up, one palm pressed against the back of his head. His bottom lip trembled and stuck out. His eyes grew wide. And he sucked in a huge breath and let out a shrill, unhappy wail that probably punctured the ear drums of everyone nearby. He grabbed the teddy-bear out of instinct and buried his face into it, sobbing. This game was terrible, and ruined, and awful, and it was all his fault wasn't it?

Puchiko covered her ears with a wince. "JEEZE!" she wheezed. That kid had lungs! Or so Puchi assumed, since as far as he could tell, he had no internal organs.

Jiora
Zita stared at Alun. If she'd had any concept of what bowing was, she'd have likely thought that's what he was doing. Though she was entirely lost as to why he was yanking on that other baby... How very strange. She wasn't sure she really wanted to play with those babies. Maybe she'd just stay here and play with this ball-thing. "Baw-el," she said, scowling a bit when it didn't come out quite like Guinevere had said it.

...!! And now the yellow one was crying! How irritating! She dropped the ball and covered her ears, shooting a grumpy look in Alun's direction. He'd gone and interrupted her playtime with the ball! She really felt as though she should do something, but that would mean uncovering her ears, and what if he wailed like that again? ..so she simply sat there and held her ears.

Cyrus seemed rather distracted watching the scene with Alun as well, only half-listening to what the adults were saying now. He could always ask for names again later, if it came down to it. "Um. Should we do something about that?" He flicked an ear hesitantly, trying to resist the urge to get up and separate them. The loud woman might start shouting again, and he'd much rather avoid that, if possible. Besides, it wasn't as though his baby was involved.

DivineSaturn

There, that was better. Once he was able to, Karan righted himself and was starting to feel better, but that security was short lived. He watched in bewilderment as his new friend started to bawl. What happened? Was something wrong? Did he push back too hard? Did he hurt Awoon? Was it all his fault? Was everyone going to hate him now, forever and ever?

The hurt was contagious, though thankfully the volume remained the same. Karan chose to show his emotion through quiet sniffles. The tears that trickled from his bi-colored eyes spotted the scarf that he held tightly in his tiny hands. It was all his fault, and now everyone would be mad, and Awoon would be hurt, and it was all his fault.

Pink Lemonade
Guinevere instinctively dropped the planet as she watched Awoon fall to the ground. "You okay?" She began to ask him before he screamed. Like the others, her hands went to her ears and she winced, moving her head away from Awoon's for the proximety was doing nothing for the saving of her hearing.

When she saw Awoon burry her face into Teddy, she put her good hand on Awoon's shoulder, watching it sink in slightly as she tried to pet him. "I sorry." She said, wanting him to feel better. She wanted to hold Teddy for comfort but Awoon was already doing that so it wasn't an option.

Pink winced as she heard the scream and relaxed when the child's faced burried into the teddy. "I think they will be ok. We shoudl let them try to handle their problems, builds good skills for when they are older." She said with a nod, moving over closer to DS and creating a space between her and Puchi which she patted. "Have a seat Cyrus."

Puchiko
Lun's sobs, now muffled by the teddy-bear, grew steadily softer and softer, until they were all gone and Lun picked his head up, smiling brightly.

YEP! Absolutely fine! Why, was something wrong?

Having gotten that out of his system, Lun reached out and pet Guin on the head, since he quite enjoyed the petting himself, and offered Teddy back to her. She was awful nice. Lun hoped that many good things happened to her, like... finding cookies! Or milkshakes, as they had proven to be his favorite. Yes, yes, MANY milkshakes for Guin! Good milkshakes! The brown ones. Yummy.

There was - was noise from behind him though, and Lun turned his head to glance at Karan. He pulled his hand back from Guin and, obviously distressed once more, stared at him uncertainly before stretching his arm out and placing it on Karan's head. Then, the petting began.

Guin did it to him and made him feel better, maybe it'd work with Karan! He hoped. He wanted to make the situation better. People shouldn't be sad, they should be happy! Nevermind the fact that he was crying not even one minute ago, he was all better now, and so Karan should be better too!

"Yeah, Lun chills after a bit," Puchiko said, pointing out the obvious. "He's not a big crier, at least, not for long."

DivineSaturn

... He wasn't mad?

A final tear rolled down Karan's cheek. If Awoon was okay then everything else would be okay too. Right? Of course right.

Still, it wouldn't hurt to make sure. "Okee?"

"Same with Karan," DS offered. "He doesn't get that upset too often. Thankfully."

DivineSaturn

ACKGETTINGSQUISHEDAGAIN. Karan flailed, but this time gave up quickly. He didn't want to make anyone get hurt again. Besides, this wasn't an entirely bad sort of squishing. It was a cozy, hugging sort of squishing that made him feel, well, squishy. It wasn't entirely comfortable, but not bad in its own way.

He wasn't hugging back though. Even a patient soul like him had limits.

Jiora
Oh gods, now they were squishing each other? And what was this 'wuvwuv' Guinevere was babbling about? Whatever it was, it looked very strange. And irritating. Certainly not something Zita wanted to be doing.

Cyrus blinked a bit, nodding at what he hoped were appropriate moments as Puchi spoke. He wasn't quite sure what it meant - aside from making it clear that, while not jell-o, Alun was made of a strange goo.

Puchiko
Lun was about to pull back when another set of arms wrapped around the two, squishing them even closer together, to the point where part of Lun's face was becoming slightly deformed against Karan's chest, since Karan's shirt was beginning to go through it. The baby drew back with a start, breaking Guin's grip on him.

Huh, that tickled a bit too much. He puffed out his cheek - which had since flattened into a weird shape - in an attempt to get it to return back to normal. Thankfully, after a few moments, the skin went back to its original shape.

WWWEEEIRRD.

Lun poked his cheek experimentally. Haha! That was kind of cool. He didn't know he could flatten like that! He grinned brightly at Karan and Guin, planets spinning with the excitement of a new discovery.

Naita
Locks matted against her skull, grey streak in her fringe rather fitting with the picture of her tired face, Naita entered the building. Her eyes were bottomed out with bags, mouth downward turned, and burgeoning belly peeking through her shirt, tattoo wholly evident to any observer.

Laying perfectly still in her arms was the pale infant who had recently been placed, temporarily, in her care. Her porcelain features belied the mind ticking away behind those black eyes, angelic expression as well formed as any cherubin child could manage.
Even her cold gaze could assume that warmth those beneath her seemed to find comforting.
Only her guardian of the meantime's state showed the nature hidden behind her charm, and that was easily explained away by a pregnancy and a lifetime of the ill use of her body.

DivineSaturn

Wow. That was neat. Awoon did so many neat things! Karan touched his own cheek in hopes of making it go flat, but all it did was make the inside of his mouth a little sore, and he let go quickly.

And yet again, he was bored. Awoon was neat, but Karan had a little trouble keeping up with all the neatness. They needed something that was fun but not too surprising.

Where did the ball go?

(Edit smile DS had been observing Alun's jell-o like structure, but when the door opened with an audible creak she averted her eyes. And widened them.

"N-Nai? What are you doing here? And who is THAT?"

She hadn't meant to sound accusing, but it was certainly a fair question.

Pink Lemonade
Guinevere giggled with happiness as she Awoon's planets spin about. She knew not to touch them for it made it fall, but they still looked oh so interesting. She looked over to the side and saw the new legend, basically in the same spot she was when she invited her to play with them. Did she not like them?

She decided to investigate by crawling towards her. "Hewwo." She said to the dark-skinned legend with a large smile on her face as she plopped herself infront of her. "Who you?"

"Interesting..." Pink said, not totally understand what Puchi had said but noticing it was very interesting to her.

Puchiko
Lun watched as Guin crawled off, towards a girl he had not noticed before. She was so dark she almost blended in with the floor! He blinked for a moment, pondering whether it was worth the effort it took to crawl - then decided it was, because she was currently in possession of that shiny, round object Karan had brought out. Smiling at Karan, he stuck his arms out and got on to his knees, and carefully made his way over to Zita and Guin.

Lun seated himself next to Guin, though his attention was all on Zita, as he offered her one of his patent-worthy HUGE smiles. She had pretty colors! He liked her already.

Jiora
Zita stared hard at Guinevere, mouth turning down in a babyish frown. She wasn't quite sure what the older girl was asking - not many people had ever asked her for her name, after all. Maybe she wanted the ball? But...it was her ball, wasn't it? It'd even come to her, so it must be! She snatched the ball up and held it to her chest, sticking her tongue out at Guinevere. "MY!" she declared.

A somewhat less wary glance was directed at Lun. He was surrounded by much prettier balls, so he couldn't want hers, could he? She pointed at one of the mini-planets, frowning curiously at him. How come his stayed up in the air like that and hers didn't? "Baw-el why?"

DivineSaturn

Karan followed Alun with his eyes, and once he saw the new girl, with his whole body. The ball was forgotten again. People were always much better than toys, even the special ball. Besides which, he had spotted the special scarf and was entranced. Perhaps it was his own that sparked the interest, but Karan liked scarves. And this one would have to be looked at.

By way of introduction he pointed in front of him. "Ha-oo!"

Naita
Starting at the sound of Divvy's voice, the woman stumbled slightly, causing the babe in her arms to move, the only real evidence she lived, for she carried with her at all times the pallor of death.

"Divvy? I... Riife's directions. This is Breena, one of Lady Siri's wards. Elsa... doesn't like her, so I'm looking after her until she's back from court."

Glancing at the other children with what looked a mixture of fear and confusion, Naita placed the pale infant a small distance away from the nearest, patting her on the head gingerly before collapsing into a seat.

Puchiko
What was that she just said? Lun blinked uncomprehendingly, feet tucked behind him, and put a hand against his one of his planets, gently enough that it could keep spinning despite his fingers. Sounded like a question, but Lun had no clue what she was asking - he just knew it had something to do with his planets. Again, his fingers curled carefully around the red one and tugged. With a snap only noticeable to Lun, the planet was removed from orbit and again the baby concentrated, to make sure it remained where it was. Spinning in the center of his palm, Lun held it out to Zita to inspect.

Hopefully, she wouldn't want to touch it... Just to be sure, Lun closed his fingers over it protectively, ready to snatch it away at a moment's notice. He didn't NOT want to share, but he'd fallen over enough today, thank you!

DivineSaturn

DS moved over in order to give the pregnant woman more room. "Er...I see. That's... nice. She seems like a nice girl, and I'm sure you'll be able to handle her, no problem."

Of course, what was really running through DS's mind was more along the lines of 'Oh dear god another child to take care of on top of everything else.' But she managed to maintain a calm facade.

Was the girl going to play ball with them? She had his ball, so hopefully that meant she wanted to play. He patted his own chest, to indicate that she could roll it to him when she was ready. The scarf would wait,he supposed.

Pink Lemonade
"My silly name!" Guinevere said at first, not getting she was talking about the ball she clutched to her.

"Ohhhh!" She said after a few seconds. "No. Ball Karan's." She said with a nod, pointing to Karan. "You have toys?" She asked, looking around to see if her mommy or daddy her depositied a big bag of her goodies around.

Pink Lemonade
Pink smiled to the pregnant woman that sat next to DS. "Friend of yours?" She asked DS, waiting for an introduction.

DivineSaturn

It seemed that the issue DS had half wanted to discuss wasn't an option anymore. "Er, right. Nai, this is Pink, a dear friend of mine. Pink, this is Nai. She's... the woman I mentioned before." Hopefully Pink wouldn't need more of a hint than that. Even more hopefully, she would drop the subject.

But knowing Pink, she doubted it.

Pink Lemonade
"Ohhhh." Pink said with a wink and a nudge to DS' side. "The one you knocked up in the lab that night!" She said with a triumphant smile, placing all the pieces of the puzzle together. "So how's the bun in the oven?" She asked the pregnant woman with a smile.

Jiora
Zita squealed crankily at Guinever, not sure what she meant, but registering the word 'ball'. Why didn't she understand that it was hers? She clutched it closer still and seemed about to start up a full-fledged tantrum when Alun caught her attention.

She leaned forward to peer at the planet he held, forgetting about 'her' ball and letting it fall to the floor. This ball-thing was much more interesting, and he even seemed to be giving it to her! Except he was closing his fingers around it. How was she supposed to take it from him if he held it like that? She made a discontent sound and reached out to poke at his fingers. "My. Gib."

Pink Lemonade
Guinevere watched her drop Karan's ball, glad she understood her. Giving up on the search for a bag she watched her reach toward Awoon's planet.

"NO!" She screamed, placing her bad hand, for it was closest, on Zita's to stop her. She didn't want Awoon to fall and cry again, having see people touch his plantets and him falling.

She withdrew her hand from Zita's once she realzied what she did but it was far too late. Her head started to whirl again like it did when ever the tattoos touched something. She placed both hands against her head, as if trying to hold her brains in as loud words screamed in her ears.

DivineSaturn

Okay, so they weren't going to play ball. Karan wished that the girl would make up her mind. But at least that meant he could look at the scarves. While she was distracted by Alun's planets, he leaned closer and took one piece of scarf in both hands. It was so pretty! Lots darker than his light one, but also a little lighter than his dark one. And the patterns were different too. But nice.

It was easy to declare a verdict. "Pweeeedy..."

"PINK!" Face completely red, she squeezed one of Pink's legs. "Subtlety. Ever heard of it?"

Puchiko
Lun blinked. No, wait - no sharing! Lun, torn between his guilt of not-sharing, and his fear of landing face-first on the floor again, stared indecisively at the orb clutched in his hands. Um. Um.

Thankfully, the decision was made for him, as Puchiko suddenly rose from the couch and picked Lun up. With a relieved noise, Lun opened his hand and the planet flew back into orbit. Holding it for too long made him dizzy, anyway!

"Well, it was very nice to meet you all, but I've got work to attend to. See you all soon," Puchiko said, dipping her head quickly in farewell, before cradling Lun in her arms and walking towards the door.

Lun squirmed in his guardian's arms so that he was lying on his side, and able to throw a cheerful wave back at his new friends. It had been a good day! This, of course, called for milkshakes.

Pink Lemonade
Guinevere shook her head feverishly as if trying to shake the voices out before she dropped her hands to her lap, almost willing her brains to fall out. Luckily what flashed in her mind's eye and ear stopped and she felt as if nothing to happen.

She waved goodbye happily to Awoon. "BWYEEEEEE!"

Pink looked at DS. "What's that?" She asked with a tilt of her head. "Did I say something wrong?"

DivineSaturn

Oh no, Awoon was leaving! He wasn't ready for that yet! But there wasn't much choice with the big people. "Bai Awoon! he called, deciding to make the best of it.

Now then, back to the scarf...

"Other than being amazingly insensitive? No, not really."

Jiora
Zita glanced around as Karan approached, only blinking a bit when he picked up her scarf. He didn't seem to be taking it though...so she'd let it pass for now.

She turned back in time to see Guinevere touching her hand. Promptly, she began flailing her arms through the air, hands clenching into little fists, and let out a furious shriek. "NOTUCH." She seemed far more bothered by someone actually daring to touch her - someone aside from Cyrus, anyway - then she was by the way Guinevere jerked her hand back so quickly.

Cyrus covered his face with one hand and sank down on the couch for a moment, half-hoping to discover some way to melt into it. Failing that, he stood and scooped up the squalling baby, taking a moment to gently pull her scarf away from Karan. "Sorry, I guess she needs to get to bed," he mumbled and hurried out the door.

[Reserved: A new place]

[June 7]

Jiora
Cyrus, as usual, went through a rather long ritual of checking the address he'd written down with the one listed on the house, carefully balancing Zita in one arm. Sure they matched now, but he might've read it wrong! At least this time he decided he was right before Zita took it upon herself to kick/bite/otherwise show her displeasure with waiting so long. He rang the bell and, for good measure, knocked soundly on the door.

He'd gotten the address from a list of what seemed to be other Legend parents - did that make him a parent? - from the headquarters. Very convenient, really. And it was probably better to talk to someone one on one instead of trying to get information from a group. The adults from the other night had seemed distracted. ...and unpleasant - but they couldn't all be like Miss Puchiko, could they?

...he hoped the jell-o baby would be alright with her.
Lucifer Force
Luciel blinked from the sofa, hearing knocking at the door. Gyre hopped down immediately to get to door for her Guardian, but Luciel extrended an arm, catching the little Legend before she could make it.

"I'm alright, sweetie. I took a nap. I'll get the door." Gyre unwillingly sat down, watching carefully as Lu walked slowly to the door. Opening it up, and trying her best not to look like she'd just been the victim of a brutal assault, she smiled and greeted the new guests.

"Oh! Hello there! You have such a cutie with you..." she couldn't help but want to poke the dark baby's cheeks. But that might not be good. Stepping aside to let them in, Lu introduced herself.

"My name is Luciel, but you can call me Lu. And that lovely lady over there," she said, motioning to the girl sitting on the chair, "is Gyre. I assume you're a Legend caretaker too? I'm sorry but... I seem to have forgotten your name..."
Jiora
Cyrus blinked at the warm welcome, a bit startled. Maybe she was used to people showing up at random? He remembered Jiora saying it was common among the Fa'e - the same might be true with this group.

He gave a bit of a sheepish, but polite, nod as he ducked inside. "Nice to meet you, ma'am," he murmued, shifting Zita so she wasn't balanced so precariously. "Um. I guess I am... I've only been to the headquarters once though, and I don't think you were there then.. My name's Cyrus, and this," he paused to hold the infant up a bit more, "is Zita. I.. I'm really kinda new to all of this."

Zita squirmed a bit, clearly not pleased with being moved around so much. She kept quiet, thankfully, and instead shot childish glares at anything that moved, paying special attention to her own guardian.
Lucifer Force
Lu gave a short laugh. "I'm sorry if I startled you. I'm just so used to having visitors... Or, at least, having my door open." She gave a smiled and sat back down on the sofa. Gyre leapt up from her position on the chair and sat next to her Guardian, despite Lu's offering of a seat on her lap. Gyre smiled and waved to both Zita and Cyrus. She was glad her Guardian was at least claiming to feel better, though she could tell the curse hurt her every once in a while.

About the headquarters, she said, "No, I don't think I've seen you at the headquarters, but I think I remember seeing your name under the list of Guardians. Zita is awfully cute. Has she given you much trouble?"

Gyre liked how Cyrus had fluffy ears. Was he feline or canine? She couldn't tell. But he seemed nice enough. She stood up on her tiny legs and had to ask. "Mr. Cyrus, are you a cat?"
Jiora
Cyrus remained standing for the moment, eyeing Gyre curiously - interesting mask on that one. He focused on Lucifer again and blinked. His name was already on the list? These people worked quickly, apparently. "Zita? Just the usual baby things, I guess. She's really pretty fussy if I leave her with anyone else.." A vague frown. That little problem was rather irritating when he had to work.

"What?" He looked down at Gyre, grinning a bit and crouching so he was at her level. "No. I'm part fox. I guess it kinda looks like I got cat in me though, huh?"

Zita frowned. What was this other little girl doing talking to her daddy? He belonged to Zita, and that other little would do well to remember that as far as she was concerned. If she'd had the proper motor skills at the time, Zita would have crossed her arms in a proper huff. As it was, she merely looked as though she were hugging herself and looking rather cute in general.
Lucifer Force
Fox? Oh yes, those red animals that kind of looked like a cross between dog and cat...in a way. Contemplating this, Gyre sat down again, next to Lu. Taking off the mask and setting it beside her, Gyre resumed her formal position, hands in lap. She smiled to Zitaregardless of whether or not the other Legend would like it. It always payed to be polite.

Lu sat back, waving a hand to the open chair. She stood up then, wanderin gin the direction of the kitchen "Go ahead and make yourself comfortable. Would you two like anything to eat or drink?" Her voice trailed off as she entered the kitchen. The bright red runic symbols on her back pulsed again, causing her to growl. She did her best to stifle it.

Gyre liked how Zita looked. She thought the other Legend was pretty. "Mr. Cyrus, do you like Zita?" She was being very honest. She could remember a time when her own Guardian didn't like her much. She had no real scraps of humanity at the time, either.
Jiora
Zita made a face at Gyre, sticking her tongue out and scrunching up her face - another attempt at being mean. It probably wouldn't work though. She'd yet to realize that babies were simply not made for looking anything but cute, apparently.

"No thank you, ma'am. We ate before we left," he said. He took the chair as he spoke, frowning just a bit at Lu's growl. "Are you alright, ma'am..?" He leaned forward hesitantly and set Zita in his lap, though he looked quite ready to leap up if it were needed. ...hopefully she didn't bite.

He only flicked an ear in Gyre's direction, still a bit distracted with Lu at the moment. "Hm..? Oh, yeah. I guess I do, anyway."
Lucifer Force
A startled Lu answered back. "Oh! Yes, I'm fine... Don't worry about me!" Some shuffling and clinking of plates. "I'll just make some fruit salad to munch on..." She hummed a bit as she worked, trying to get her mind away from her curse and back to Cyrus and his...predicament.

Gyre giggled. "Zita is very cute." She turned about, looking to see if her Guardian was watching. Then, she whispered quietly, "Mommy's hurt 'cuz her mean brother attacked her. But he's gone now." She nodded again as Luciel came in, carrying a plate of fruits and a plastic fork.

She smiled and sat down, a fork in one hand. She speared a kiwi before asking. "You're such a gentleman, Cyrus. What brings you by here?" It was nice to have company that wasn't hellbent on killing you.
Jiora
Shrugging, Cyrus leaned back in the chair and glanced at Gyre again. "I'm sure Zita would thank you for the complement if she could," he said with a smile. His ears perked forward when the girl whispered though, and he took on a more serious look. He own family had actually attacked her? He whispered back to the girl, "I'm glad he's gone then."

He straightened quickly when Lu returned, waving a hand dismissively at her comment. "It's just being polite, ma'am. And..I actually stopped by because I just...really don't get any of this. Is it normal for these Legends to just...well...appear? Zita just showed up in a locked apartment I was staying in one day."
Lucifer Force
Popping the kiwi slice into her mouth, she chewed thoughtfully. Swallowing and nodding at the same time, she placed the fork back on the plate. Leaning back, she crossed her arms.

"Well, while I don't consider just appearing to be very normal, the same thing happened to me when Gyre first arrived. I mean, she was on my doorstep, but it's the same principal." Wow. In a locked apartment? These kids were getting sneaky...

The Mancubus looked back at Zita, smiling. At least she seemed nice enough, so caring for her shouldn't have been too much of a problem for Cyrus. "I'm not too sure I get any of it too. I mean, how do they choose who to appear to? Do they choose at all? I'm still curious about that part..."

She blinked. "Do you know much about Zita?"
Jiora
"Well, I guess it is.. But a doorstep and a locked apartment are pretty different. I don't know if it's her that actually got in, or if someone else put her there..." Though, considering the note, it'd probably been the latter. ...unless, of course, Zita had the amazing ability to write in a very fine, cursive hand.

"Aside from her appearing, I don't really know much about her at all. I mean, I mentioned she was fussy. And she doesn't seem to like other children much...but I don't know if that's what you meant."

Zita, meanwhile, had distracted herself with Cyrus's tail. It wasn't often that she got to be so close to the fuzzy limb, and she wasn't about to pass up the chance to examine it thoroughly. So, with a happy giggle, she fisted her chubby little hands in the fur and tugged curiously.

Cyrus somehow managed not to wince.
Lucifer Force
Lu winced for Cyrus. Not having a tail herself, she did remember a time when Gyre would yank at her horns. That was indeed very uncomfortable. Cyrus was a strong guy. "I do remember having a note delivered by somebody named Raven. I don't know who he is, though. He might have a connection to the Legends. He gave us a crystal. I haven't the slightest idea what happened to it..."

Gyre watched as Zita tugged at Cyrus' tail. She folded her own wings close to her, not wanting anyone to tug at them. Though it seemed Zita wasn't going to be detatching herself from Mr. Cyrus anytime soon.
Jiora
"A crystal?" Cyrus paused and thought back a bit. He didn't really remember the note being signed, and there certainly hadn't been any crystal.. Maybe someone else had dropped Zita off then. "I just got a note with her name and the address to the headquarters.. It was really weird." Freaked the hell out of Jaclyn too. She probably still thought he'd just dropped Zita off there instead of keeping her...

Still doing his best to ignore the infant tugging and patting at his tail, he glanced toward Gyre again when she folded her wings and grinned reassuringly. Only a bit of a wince there when Zita gave a particularly rough yank - maybe he'd think about distracting her soon... "I wouldn't worry about your wings, little one. She's too shy to bother other people."
Lucifer Force
"That is really weird..." Lu trailed off. She hadn't thought about the circumstances surrounding Gyre. She more paid attention to the fact that, after a while, some love and lots of bandaids, Gyre regained her humanity and made the household happy. But, she figured that not all Legend guardians were so lucky... "I really wish I could tell you more. Did Zita arrive with some sort of...Oh, I don't know... A charm? Some sort of item? Like Gyre has this mask..."

Maybe, if Zita arrived with some sort of treasure, it would give Cyrus more information about her?

Gyre smiled as Cyrus reassured her. She let her wings unfold again. "Shy?" she asked quietly. She didn't think she'd ever met a shy Legend before...
Jiora
Cyrus half-listened to Lu while he worked on extracting Zita's hands from his tail - for the moment, at least. She'd probably go back in all of a few seconds.

"A charm? Well..she's got this broken stick..." he mumbled. There was a brief pause while he fidgeted around with her blankets before finding it. It really wasn't all that amazing - just a time-worn, dinged up stick that had been broken in two. He'd have thrown it away if Zita hadn't thrown such a fit over it. In fact, even as he held it up for Lu to have a look at, Zita began to whimper and kick, reaching determinedly for it. "Um..she's really attached to it," he said, handing it back to the girl.

He nodded at Gyre, deciding shy was better than just saying mean. "She doesn't really like most other people. She always gets upset if I leave her with anyone else."
Lucifer Force
Lu's eyebrows raised a touch higher. She came with a stick? That's certainly interesting. She wouldn't have thought of that, of all things. She gave Zita many points for creativity. But what did the stick mean? "Well, I've been reading a lot, and perhaps the stick is a symbol for something? She's obviously very attached to it..."

The Mancubus racked her brain. What could the stick mean? Walking? Travel? Beatings? And it was broken, which confused her further.

Gyre nodded. "I think she won't leave you because she loves you." She wasn't entirely sure if that were true, but it certainly sounded much better than 'she's using you only for transportation'. But Gyre didn't think babies could be quite that mean.
Jiora
He tilted his head a bit and gave the stick back to Zita, smiling bemusedly as she clutched it to her chest and glared at him - as best a baby could glare anyway. "Maybe.. She gets really mad if I try to really take it away and stuff. Is Gyre like that with her mask?"

Cyrus chuckled a bit and bounced Zita on his lap to calm her a bit more - she was still grumpy from having her stick taken. "Maybe you're right." Or not. He was quite certain Zita simply considered him another of her things. Though, perhaps that could be a twisted form of love. He wasn't sure.
Lucifer Force
This time, it was Lu who winced. "Ooooohhh yes. Gyre was very much like that with her mask when she first arrived. I still have the scars on my shoulder to prove it..." She grabbed it out of habit more than anything else. "I do believe, though, that I've begun to unravel Gyre's legend. Or, more specifically, she's been unravelling it, and recanting it all to me..."

Gyre beamed. She was indeed proud. She had learned so much since she first arrived. The falcon mask lay next to her. "It's magical." she said.
Jiora
Cyrus blinked and eyed Lu's shoulder, suddenly very grateful that Zita seemed to be an ordinary baby. ... Aside from the magical appearance and general meanness. And..wait.. "Unravelling her legend? So... ... I don't get it. Just what are the Legend children? Should I be..trying to figure out something about Zita?

Zita focused on Gyre rather suddenly, perking up at the comment. She knew that word. Quite well. She squirmed out of Cyrus's hand and leaned on the arm of the chair, thrusting her stick towards the couch and waving it at the other girl as though to show off. "Mamama~" she said.
Lucifer Force
Luciel nibbled at another piece of frut, thoughtful. Coming up with an explanation that makes sense o someone other than herself was difficult for her. "Well, back when Gyre first arrived, she was...nothing short of savage. I mean brutal. But, the longer she stayed with me, the more I noticed that it wasn't her being mean," she cast a loving glance at Gyre, "but her being what she thought she was - a baby falcon."

Gyre pointed to the mask in reference. Watching Zita wave her stick, Gyre smiled. Perhaps she should reach out to it?

Lu continued. "She would always wear her mask. If I tried to take it, she'd bite me." As shown by the scars on her shoulder. They were faint, but detectable as Lu wore a tank top. "As far as I can tell, the Legend children are magical beings. That would explain why Gyre's mask, when worn properly, turns her into a falcon."

"Mamamam?" Gyre mimicked back. Zita sure was cute! Perhaps, one day, they could dance together?
Jiora
A blank stare. "...she can turn into a bird?" And here he could barely manage to turn into a fox himself. Being shown up by a little girl was certainly a wounding blow to one's pride. "I..don't think Zita's done anything like that. Not when I've been watching, anyway."

He feel into quiet thought, managing to ignore the jabbering baby in his lap. Zita drew the stick a bit closer to herself, grinning childishly at Gyre and nodding, though it looked more like a bobbing wiggle. "Ma~!" She shook the stick again. "My mamama waaan~"

"So...they're kinda like the fa'e, you think? I mean..." Cyrus trailed off and smoothed his hair back, eyeing a spot on the wall vacantly. "..you know what the fa'e are, right?"
Lucifer Force
Gyre nodded vigorously. "With my mask. It's magical!" The falcon child continued to watch Zita, though she was becoming slightly suspicious. She would give the baby the benefit of the doubt, and waved her fingers just beyond the end of the stick.

"I've seen her do it once. She just puts on the mask and POOF! She's a falcon. Never understood it. Of course, I'm also in awe of the kitsune and were-people who can do the same thing, sans mask."

The Fa'e? Yes, she'd been into the building once or twice. Saw a few strange people there as well. "Yes, I saw a few of the Fa'e. Magical children reborn, aren't they? I've never personally spoken to any of them, but I just got so curious one day, and the shop was open..."

Then it dawned on her. "Perhaps the Legends are like the Fa'e... I could always ask Gyre about her vision she said she had..." Oh, and another thought popped into her head. "Do you know a Fa'e personally? Are they as fascinating as I think they are?"
Jiora
Zita squeaked a bit and pulled her stick closer to her again. It was for looking, not touching! Even if it was amazing. ... At least, she thought it was. "My! My wan," she said firmly, dropping it back onto her blanket for safe keeping. Her daddy would keep it safe.

She turned back to Gyre and waved her hand at the girl again, babbling away in her baby talk. Now, though, she seemed to simply be speaking for the sake of making noise rather than any real attempt to say something.

Cyrus sighed and patted her back absently, glad that she hadn't started another screaming fit, at least. "It certainly sounds impressive," he agreed. "I know a few people who can do it too. I mean, not birds. But changing into other things."

He nodded a bit at the question, half-wondering if Rune had shown up yet. He'd been missing still when he last checked in... "Er...yeah. I've got an adopted brother who is one. I guess he's interesting. He, um, was a winged unicorn for a while... All ghosty. He's a boy now though."
Lucifer Force
Gyre giggled. Zita was funny! She liked Zita, even if Zita didn't like her in return. Meeting the new Legend made her want to go back to the HQ to see if she could locate Guin or Levi again. But she was beginning to understand what Zita was telling her.

"I think her stick is a wand." she said plainly. She picked up the mask, showing to Zita. "Mask." Maybe she'd understand that she had special items of her own?

Luciel slumped over. "I have to admit, I guess I'm weird for being so interested in other people's species. Mine's not too closely-knit, so... And besides, everyone else seems so much more interesting." Cyrus had a Fa'e brother, who was a unicorn at some point? That seemed excited, but dreadful at the same time, especially at the mention of fading away.
Jiora
"Well me and most of the people I know are part this and that. So...I dunno. Actually being one species sounds like it'd be nice to me. A lot less confusing." He shrugged and slouched in the chair, frowning up at the ceiling. "Besides. You've got horns. What's cooler than that?"

There was a long pause when Gyre spoke, and Cyrus picked up part of the broken stick to eye curiously. It was about the right size for a wand, he supposed. "You might be right, Gyre..."

Zita tilted her head at the mask, glancing from it to Gyre. "Mas? Ma mas?" She leaned against the arm of the chair, almost threatening to topple over - except for the fact that Cy had a firm hold on her.
Lucifer Force
Lu looked at Cyrus curiously. "Are you more than just a fox-man? I mean, that's two species right there, but... I'm just confusing myself." She giggled, which she did whenever nervous or confused. She intstead turned her attention to her horns. "Oh, these? I think they're neat, too. Especially for bashing things. But I don't do that often."

She supposed it was kind of cool to have horns and all, but the species that came with it wasn't very cool.

"Each one of us is born with something different. I've never met another one of my kind with horns... But you have cute, fuzzy ears and a tail!" Gyre thought so as well. Looking at Zita, she decided the little baby was slightly selfish. But she was sure Zita would grow out of it.

Gyre placed the mask back beside her. "No, not yours. Mine. Sorry."
Jiora
"Um.. I'm pretty sure I've just got fox and human in me... I don't know my dad though, so I can't really be sure." He sighed and turned his attention to Zita for a moment, distracting himself by toying with the end of her scarf. She didn't seem to mind at the moment, thankfully. "They are neat. I've got a friend who has some too.."

He looked up and tilted his head as she spoke a bit about her kind, somewhat startled that they were all born different. And...his ears were not cute. Though he wasn't about to shout down a complement - that would be rude. He mumbled a quick thanks instead and absently covered one of his ears with a hand.

Zita blinked, confused for a moment, before catching the meaning of what Gyre had said. She scrunched her face up and slapped one hand against the chair. "Gib!"
Lucifer Force
Lu's eyes lit up. "You have a friend with horns too? Or were you talking about your ears?" She was easily confused. She watched Zita. Poor thing was going to throw a fit if Gyre didn't give her the mask.

Gyre wasn't going to give it up, either, but had an alertnate plan of attack. She scooted off the couch and ran down the hall. After a while, she returned, and soft plushie in hand.

Smiling, she handed it to Zita. "You can have this!"

Cyrus grinned a bit and leaned forward. "I meant with horns. She's part dragon, so I think that's where she got them from..." Though it could just as easily be her demonic side, he supposed. Not that he'd be telling Bronnie that any time soon.

Zita let out a shriek of irritation when Gyre vanished down the hall, still reaching over the chair for the mask. Cyrus winced and pulled her back into his lap, doing his best to look sheepish and apologetic. "She's not usually this fussy," he mumbled, only half-lieing. She wasn't quite this bad at home, and that had to count for something, didn't it?

He gave Gyre a very thankful smile when she returned with the plushie though. Zita's eyes went wide when the girl handed it to her, and she seemed to forget about the mask then. After all, this was a soft thing! Everyone knew those were the best for chewing. As if to prove so, she stuck on of the flippers in her mouth and began to gnaw on it with a content gurgle.
Lucifer Force
Lu made a mental note of this. "Part dragon? Does she have wings and a tail like a dragon, too? I mean, is she human-shaped?" She couldn't help but admit that dragons were regal creatures, at least to her. Anything with wings fascinated her too. "I hope she's nice and doesn't have sulfur breath... I read that in a book once."

The falcon child was relieved to find that Zita had accepted, with great enthusiasm, her gift. She remembered when she used to gnaw on everything, and still continued to do so every once in a while. "I'm glad she likes it!" Maybe, when she was older, Zita could come to play?

When Lu was finished nibbling on her salad, she sat back. "Don't worry about her fussiness. It doesn't bother me. I'm used to it." She grinned. She had other children out and about as well.
Jiora
"Uh.. Well she looks like any other girl, I guess. ..but she does have wings and a tail. They make her look cool," he said, not quite sure what the fascination with it all was.

His tail puffed up at the question of Bronnie's niceness - it was bad enough when it was just Bronnie questioning her own alignment. He didn't need to hear about strangers doing it too. "And of course she's nice! Her and her mom are some of the nicest people I know. Those books are just full of stupid lies." A pause. "I don't know if she can breath fire or not though."

Zita made another gurgling sound at Gyre, glancing her way for a brief moment before focusing on the toy again. This Gyre girl would be worth talking to in the future, it seemed. She at least knew that Zita was supposed to be given things. ...even if they weren't exactly the things she'd originally wanted. Still, this toy would do in place of the mask. ... For now.
Lucifer Force
"That's very good to hear. I'm sorry if I've bothered you with all these questions... I do that to strangers..." She quieted, as if thinking. The runes on her back flared up again, but this time she gritted her teeth through the pain. She'd have to seek revenge on Serath because of it, but not right now.

Gyre, too, was making plans. Plans to keep her precious things safe from Zita, just in case. But for right now, her things were safe. "Does Zita like to play with dolls or something?" Gyre asked, watching the darker Legend.
Jiora
Cyrus sighed and leaned back in the chair again, apparently calming down seeing as she wasn't insisting that there must be mean dragons somewhere. Almost sheepishly, he pulled his tail around to smooth the fur out again. "It's alright.. She's just...really special to me."

He seemed almost thankful for Gyre's distraction and glanced her way, shrugging just a bit. "She'll really play with anything you put in front of her. Just don't expect to get it back very easily," he added.
Lucifer Force
Lu smiled, thinking of the one special to her. She hadn't seen him in a long, long time. "I'm glad to hear that. I bet she's wonderful." Nodding confidently, she picked up the half-empty tray to go clean it. "You're more than welcome to wander about, if you like." her voice carried from the kitchen.

Gyre smiled at the both of them. She would be their guide through the house, if they wanted. Donning the mask in its place on the side of her head, she kicked her legs absently. "I have more toys, if Zita needs some."
Jiora
Cyrus grinned and nodded. "She really is," he said as she stood to go into the kitchen. He tilted his head at Gyre and shook his head - give the girl more toys? She was spoiled enough without all that. "I think she'll be fine for now."

As though to prove him wrong, Zita gave a discontent squeal around the fin she had stuffed in her mouth and waved the penguin around as best she could.

"..maybe she's just tired of sitting around. Or she might need a nap. I can just go home then, and..um...visit again later?"
Lucifer Force
Lu wandered back from the kitchen, sans the tray. Her hands wet damp from washing it and quickly drying them off. "Well, I hope I gave you some helpful information..."

Walking to the door, she smiled. "I would love for you to visit again, as would Gyre. You're always welcome here." Gyre stood up from her spot on the couch. She would miss Mr. Cyrus, and would have ot write about him in her new journal.

"It was good to see you, Mr. Cyrus and Zita!"
Jiora
Cyrus stood a bit awkwardly now that Zita seemed to have decided sitting still would cause her to break out in hives - who'd have thought it'd be so difficult keeping hold of a baby? - and followed Lu to the door. "It helps a lot. At least now I know what I'm dealing with...sorta."

He turned to smile at the pair as he slipped out the door, waving just a bit. "It was good to see the two of you as well, ma'ams. I'll see you again sometime."
Lucifer Force
Lu waved as the pair left. The visit was a pleasant one, and the two hoped they could see the fox man and his ward again. Maybe a visit to the HQ would be in order?

"It was very nice to see you!" she cried happily.

Gyre waved ethusiastically as well. "Bye bye Zita! Bye bye, Mr. Cyrus!"
