Reiku wasnt done he picked up josh and put him on his sholder and did a running power slam into the hard wooden floor he then stood over him looking down at him. " game set match.. " he heard alec then he turn at him. " whats up?" His voice sounded a bit to happy..

He reloaded the crossbow and tossed it to his brother.
"I figured you would like to do the honors."
As he tossed the bow he felt something. That darkness... that pain in his chest. It was alot heavier than before.

He cought the bow and looked down at josh. " any last words before i kill you? " He then spoted his sister. " Alec get her out of here... I dont want her to see this. " He aimed it at his heart.

Jess was shakeing her head no. Not a sound came from her, but she just kept shakeing her head no. Alec tried to lead her out of the church, but there was no way he was gonna get her out of there.
What was this creature? Black blood? What was that? She now realized that It wasn't Josh. But she still felt bad and didn't want to let go. She wanted to watch this. She needed to watch this.
A single tear was shed as Josh's undeath (I guess that's what you would call it?) was ended.

Reiku looked at jess then josh. In his heart it was hurting him to see her brother like this but in his mind he wanted to kill him for trying to kill him. " Dam IT! " He threw the cross bow at the wall and picked up josh and started to hit him until alec grabed him.

He pulled Reiku around and cussed.
"Hey... don't man. She understands. The longer we take to do this the harder it is on her."
On the floor Josh rolled over and held his hand to his throat. The blood poured. Like a bucket turned over it ran down his neck and onto the floor. His eyes stared painfully into Jess's and he mouthed her name. Reaching out with one hand he tried to motion her over to him.
"Sis." was all that came out of the madness clearly.
Alec watched this and pulled a stake from the strap around his leg. Picking up the sledgehammer he walked to the creature and rested the tip against his back.
Josh felt it then and lashed out furiously. What had been a pitiable young boy only a moment ago seemed to turn to rage in an instant.
"Jess...", he cried weakly.
At the same time Alec fell to his knees and felt Josh's hand wrap around his throat.

THe cult flew out of reikus pocket and he aimed it at josh's head. ' relase him or I blow your brains up. " Before he could say anything he fired hitng josh right in the head with a singel shot then he grabed the stake and stabed him in the heart. " And thats how we do it jersey style b***h!" He helped alec up and looked at jess.

Alec fell backwards gasping for breath.
Josh on the other hand screamed. He screamed like hell itself had been release from his lungs. The pain and shrieking anguish flowed out of him so that it made the blood seem a minor detail.
With his eyes turned to the roof of the congregation room the sounds were release. His skin, already gray looking began to darken and wither. His lips curled back. The fingers twitched as they reached out toward Jess across the room.
After a life time of this the sounds seem to cease and the corpse fell lifeless against the floor.

He helped up alec and walked over to jess. " sorry.. " He put his hand on her sholder and walked her out to the vet with alec in toe. " Lets go somewhere and rest... this is enough hunting for one night.. " he open the door as jess got in and he got in the driver seat as alec got in the passanger. " Next time a nise hotel with a pool and a hot tub.. " He turn the car on and pealed out of the drive way..

In the shadows something let out a evil kinda laugh and walked into the church. " I'l have to watch those three esposly the younger one. " It took joshs head as a prize and walked out into the night.

They rode in silence for a long time. Alec wondered if they should take Jess home.

He looked over at alec and sighed. " She cant go home.. The vampires will go after her and some demons too she be safe with us man.. " He looked back at her. She was laying across the seat crying.

Finally, useinf one of their tear soaked coats as a pillow, Jess fell asleep in the back seat. She hadn't been very tired befor the church, but all the crying had worn her out. She hadn't cryed once since Josh had died.. the first time, so in a way it was a good thing what happened. It could be described as closure.

Reiku pulled over real quick and put his coat over her and got out and sat on the hood in the misty new york night. " Alec.. where to next.. the road house or our next hunt I want to go to the road house to let jess rest and let us rest too. " He wiped his eyes.

Cat sits by the side of the road and listens intently for the familiar sound of a huming engine, but the only sound she can hear are the leaves rusling in the cold night's wind. The darker it got, the more woried she became. She hadn't been alone in the dark she she left home days ago, she'd made sure of it, traveling at night and resting during the day. As she sat on the side of the road, huging her backpack to her chest, she couldn't help but picture the demon she had been trying so hard to forget. Everynight it had come to her it seemed to be more and more real. Just a shadow exept for those dark red eyes that seemed to pierce through her. She snapped the image out of her head, shaking off the fear that had krept into her, and waited and silently prayed for a vehicle to come.
