Well, Kenshin has stregth, speed, and skill.
Sephy has stregth, and magic.
it'd come down to the fact of if it's the Kenshin before the war ended, or after, because of that whole Kenshin will never kill anyone thing, where as, Sephiroth has no qualms about wonton killing.
so if it's the bakaretsu (sp?) Kenshin, then he'd win, otherwise, if it's Ruroni Kenshin, he'd probibly lose.
assuming you could get them to fight in the first place...

we all know that R.K. would win.. but his state of mind would have to be the same as when he frist got the marks.... that time he was a un-stoppable killer who killed without... thinking... now i know Septh. has that big sword... but just think cant you see R.K. blocking a hit and using his wooden shoes to kick septh.... but i dont know... there are all kind of things that can be factored in.....

uh.....sephiroth moves fast enough to leave a phaze of light behind him as well he can jump hundreds of feet into the air, to the point of almost acheiving flight.
Kenshin is a near god like swords-man but because of the way that Sephiroth can move he would undoubtably win.
[note: i'm not saying Kenshin sucks Rurouni Kenshin is infact my favourite manga of all time other then Trigun]

Sephy. Specially if he decided to kill Kenshin the way he did Aeris (sp)
Besides, Kenshin (end of manga) can no longer use his sword fighting style. He still kicks butt, but no way could he kick Sephy's butt.
Sad, as much as I hate Sephy I know Kenshin would lose. Even if it was before he became a wanderer.
