[Psst... Hi there!
Dai yawned, her spine crackling and rippling with tiny pops. She was too big for her special wheelchair bed anymore, and had curled up in the fetal position for half the night. Going to the bathroom, still bleary-eyed, she did her business there before coming out again and floping into her wheelchair. She'd learned that she'd have to save her leg strength for later; they were, after all, 'newly grown' and could not hold out for long periods of time. Her stomach growled softly. Deciding to go to the cafeteria in her jammies, she slowly wheeled to her duplex door and poked her head out owlishly, her large eyes blinked repeatedly as bright sunlight hit them. Sniffing, as she always did, she slowly moved down the ramp and glided to the cafeteria, which was close by. Maybe she'd have an omelette for breakfast...
---------------
Predator! Predator! The animal in her screeched, as Dai froze at the sight of Seth's sharp teeth. She pushed the instinct back into her mind. Waving non-commitably, she emmited a soft yawn -Yawns were rather contagious- and slowly wheeled toward the buffet-looking counter, just as the food slid out. The chef lady, Delia, smiled at her breifly before shuffling away from view. Slowly moving toward the omelette and the assorted egg-based breakfast foods, her stomach quickly turned with distaste. Maybe her animal was a bird or a reptile. Finally settling for several scoops of dry conflakes without milk and a few more handfuls of sunflower seeds, she set the tray on her wheelchair's built-in table before grabbing a bottle of water. She glanced around quickly, as if seeing the occupants of the cafeteria for the first time. There was only one - The predator! The animal screeched again. Pushing the feeling away, she wheeled toward the man out of pure spite. She decided on the spot that she wouldn't let her animal control her.
"Hi there... Um, do you mind if I sit... Down?" She smiled half-heartedly at her mistake; of course she couldn't sit down, she was already doing that. Glancing at the laptop, she saw the green bar in the middle of the screen move back and forth in loading. She looked at it long enough for the man to notice that she was, then said softly, choosing her words carfully in an almost apologetic manner, "It's... No use. I've tried to get internet access ever since I got here. It won't work... I'm... Sorry."
