i noticed that alot of the guy characters never wear shorts, they always wear pants. you think they would wear shorts since it's probably hot on that island. wierd. maybe i am just imagianing it

If you're gonna tramp around in the jungle, you should wear long pants, cause otherwise you'll get ticks and stuff.
Plus, they were probably smart and when they were in Australia, realised it was early spring, hardly weather for shorts, so they never had any.

And it's not like they would go cutting up their clothes to make shorts. whee Although Charlie cut the sleeves off one his shirts in the beginning of the series. And Sayid had something like shorts cause he had that huge cut on his leg and Jack had to rip his jeans but i don't think that counts! lol.

Xlost_sayid_kate_charlieX They crashed on September 22nd so yeahhh that's fall-ish. I was all set to agree, until I realized September is late winter/early spring in Australia. So yeah, no wonder they had pants. Actually, I'm surprised they managed to find any kind of summery clothes in the wreck. And yeah- it's not a good idea to wear shorts in a jungle/forest. All sorts of nasty bugs. For once the Lostlings showed intelligence, but I have a feeling it's just a coincidence. xd

I see no problem with them wearing pants on the island. I wear pants all summer, so I guess it just doesn't bug me.

I agree with the comments about the season and wearing pants in the jungle, etc.
Also, if anyone has ever been in a plane for a long period of time, you know that it gets really cold occasionally. I have never worn shorts on a plane for that very reason.
So maybe they were wearing pants because they knew they'd be miserable on that long plane ride if they didn't.
