Is going to game stores fun for you?
All the guys are totally shocked; I love it!
They ask me if I'm lost when I'm trying to find a good zombie shoot-em-up game.
I don't pay attention to the other people in the store.
The other people in the store don't notice me.
  Polls are fun!

I went into EB awhile back, probably a year or so ago and some dickhead had the nerve to tell me that girls "aren't allowed" to play video games, because they "just can't". I told him to go suck his own d**k because no girl or self-respecting gay guy is ever going to do it for him.
Then one of the workers told him to get out 4laugh .

It's not usually that bad though, if I know I'm going to be visiting a video-game store, all I have to do is wear my "I like me" Caboose t-shirt and suddenly most of the people love me xD.

I had one of the workers at EB hit on me one time when I was looking for a present for my brother. It turned out he knew my brother from playing F.E.A.R and when I told him who my brother was, he told me he got owned by him last night xDDDD. Most of the time I go into stores with my brother, so when I'm with him no-one says anything. He's 6 foot 4 or 5, and I'm 6 foot, so that helps.

That is entirely awesome. I can't believe someone would say that about girls playing video games though. Guys can be such assholes sometimes. evil

Also, I would kill stuff to get a few good Red vs Blue shirts. razz

Yeah, he was a total jerk.

Well, it's not REALLY a Red Vs Blue shirt because I made it myself sweatdrop . I've got that whole "poor and antisocial and no-one will hire me despite my obvious capacity for doing stuff" thing going on sad .

Same here. First time I ever saw those I loved 'em. I don't even play any halo games and I loved Red vs Blue, they are hilarious!! heart My friend showed me them a long time ago and I really wish I bought them for myself, and I almost completely forgot that those movies existed until you just mentioned it right now.
Now I've gotta own them... or at least just see them again. xd

I don't remember any funny events... in my town there's just one store for games, but they also sell cd's, dvd's and instruments and notebooks.
That shop is owned by a woman and I've seen her arranging games on shelfs.. She apperently runs it with his houseband. Plus there's sometimes young student girls aiding them.

It's a very good store, the games may be bit pricey but I've always find there the games that I'm looking for..

Most of the clients are men, being correct they're 10-15 years old kiddies who though they're cool cause they play RuneScape... and when I went to the shelf and grab on Diablo 2 those boys look at me like "Woah, our mom would never allow us to play that" xD

Never had any bad or awesome experiences. The game stores I tend to go to usually already have women employees.

I guess my best experience is when I found out there was a GameStop near me. I live WAY out there. o_o

The first time I went into EB after I moved was awesome. I walked in and started browsing the PS2 games and the two guys working at the time looked like they thought I was searching for somthing like, Britney's dance game.
So then I walked up to the counter and asked if they had a copy of Parasite Eve for PS1 (cuz they keep all the good PS1 games behind the counter) and they looked at me like, eek They didn't have it, but then this kid was asking about God of War and I was like, "Oh, that's a great game. Pretty violent, but really worth buying!" and the two guys just stared at me like I was an alien. lol It was really cool.
Now I always chat with the staff when I go in and they always check to see if Parasite Eve is hidden away somewhere when they see me. XD

Well as for the point that since my mother owns a gaming/anime/manga store I know everyone that works at the EB out by us so my experiances are always funny XD

*envys* that's totally awesome!!

Anyway, I was going to the store to buy Tales of Symphonia and the employee (which was also a female) came with a whole story that she found it cool that a girl bought games etc.

On the other hand, when I was buying Parasite Eve 2 in a different store the employee said "oohh what a nice present for your brother" <--- I don't even have siblings stare

The Christmas before last I gave my father a list of videogames I wanted along with just the standard stuff like clothes, jewelry, books, etc. So he walks into Best Buy and asked one of the employees for help in finding them. So the guy helped him find some of them and after a while the guy goes:

"So, how old is your son?"

* * * * *

Another time was a year ago I think and I was at Best Buy playing on those videogame things while my dad was searching for a monitor when I saw one of my friends (who's a guy) coming through. We started discussing all the cool games that were out and looked around. Then this extreeeemely blonde girl employee came up to me and asked:

"Don't you just hate it when your boyfriend plays videogames?"

There are a few different EB stores in my local area, and the guys (and girls) there have always been friendly. Most will happily talk and joke with me about whatever I'm buying, they don't talk down to me at all or look at me strangely for being there. There's just this one guy at one of the stores who keeps trying to sell me strategy guides for whatever I'm buying... and maybe I'm taking it the wrong way, but I usually spend a long time browsing and I don't hear him doing it to anyone else, so I kinda take it as an insult. It's my main EB and I've been shopping there for about 8 years now, he's been there the whole time and still seems unable to take me entirely seriously. domokun He's still nice enough though, it's just a tiny thing that bugs me a little.

Last time I was at EB they were having one of their huge sales, and I actually fainted because it was so damn hot and crowded in there. xp Has that ever happened to anyone else? I was fine after I took my coat off and sat down for a minute, but it still sucked. And then as soon as I stood up and went to the checkout, he asked me if I wanted the guide for City of Villains, heh! And with my fainty flawed logic I actually caved to his offer for the first time ever and bought it, even though I've been led to believe that Prima guides are full of misinformation. sweatdrop

I've had some of the workers tell me that I have good choice in games. But, as for other people in the store, they either stare at me like I'm a freak or ignore me completely sweatdrop
