Kida's arms snaked around Jack's body and she pulled herself tight against his body.
"Oh, Jack," she said, sighing happily. She reached up and ran her hands through Jack's unkept hair and giggled, playing with one of the rattier sections. She leaned up and kissed him again, closing her eyes and savering the moment, not wanting it to end.

Jack squeezed Kida gently. He forced himself not to chuckle at the soap opera like "Oh Jack". "How long has it been now..." he thought happily, and suddenly remembered something.
He released Kida from his arms, breaking the kiss. "Hold on a sec, I just remembered something. Don't diasappear, I'll be right back, savvy?" he said, already halfway up the rope ladder.

Kida looked crestfallen as Jack suddenly released her and ran up the rope ladder.
"But..but.." she pouted, crossing her arms and muttering under her breath. Just like him to run off for something. She sighed heavily. He'd better hurry it up.

Jack ran to his room and started browsing through drawers and boxes. "Where can it be? I knew I put it here somewhere..." he mumbled while searching. "A-ha! Found you!" he shouted victoriously, grabbed a small black box with a silver ribbon around it and ran out of his room. He crossed the deck in a couple of long steps and almost slid down the rope ladder.
"Sorry to keep you waiting..." he apologized to Kida. "...I just wanted to give you this before I forgot it again" he said, handing her the box. "I've been meaning to give it to you so many times, but it just always somehow slipped out of my mind."

Kida held the little black box in her hands curiously, looking down at it.
"What is this?" she asked, pulling at the silver ribbon and opening the box.

Jack suddenly felt very nervous, though he had promised himself he'd be totally cool about this. His heart started beating faster and his voice became shaky.
"I-I wouldn't want to...to spoil a surprise, savvy. Open it", Jack stammered smiling, his cheeks turning pink.
He watched Kida pull the off ribbon and open the small black box. He glanced quickly at the white gold ring that had a row of small blueish crystals from Atlantis on it before turning to look down at his feet in hopes of hiding his flushed face. "I-I...I thought I...y-you...we...I mean...w-will you...marry m-me?" he stammered quietly.

Kida's face went from tan to red in a matter of seconds.
"Where did you..." Kida stopped, realizing questioning where the ring had come from first and answering Jack second was probably a mean thing to do.
"Yes," she said smiling up at him. "Of course I will!" She reached up and pulled Jack down to her, to kiss him.
