So my band had our first show Sunday. Went pretty damn good, exept I didn't have time to set the srettings on my pedal. So my guitar sounded uber-muddy.

SolidSnake7 Whats the name of your band? Wait, it's not Shwing is it? It's Upon Tragic Ending. We played for like, 40-50 people. All of which came out for us.

solsthiem more details yo! how many songs did u have on yer setlist? and what kind of place did u play? and....what kind of pedal were you using that gave u a hard time? Heh. We played 5 1/2 songs. Considering we've been a band since February, I'd say it's ok for a first gig. It's a pretty nice place. They have alot of big local bands play there. It's a Boss DS-1. It's an awesome pedal, don't get me wrong. But my leg was kinda umpy so I kept pressin the the thing twice instead of once, so nothing would happen. And it got frustrating, haha.

Yeah. It get's annoying. No, me and our other guitarist decided to write an intro to one of our songs. Like, a little mini breakdown, then we go into our opening song.

If it went well then that's all that matters even thought the pedal was making it a bit of a struggle. Sounds like alot of fun though (Still haven't played a gig in my life XP) Edit: If you guys were in NY I'd most likely go to support you guys but eh.

You've never played a gig? Man, you're missin' out. It's so awesome. Just go to an open mic night at a local bar or venue and play a little acoustic song. That's a great way to start out gigging.

my band is missing a few things a singer, drummer, the time of day and some more talent. I've been slacking my bass playing -_-; I know shame on me. We've been looking for a drummer mainly. We figured one of us could just scream s**t and hopefuly it'd go well. Also good job headbanger even though your petal didn't work and what not i'm sure your next gig will go well hopefuly my band will get out there and gig some day
