For punk pop rock music what do you think is more inmprtant. I think they bothe come into play and I think you needto know how to do sme of both to be a good musician.

dude. He asked a question. You don't gotta be a douche to him.

It's not a stupid question. It's stupid to you because you've known it on a 'Duh!' level for a long time now. Try to picture the question in the beginners' eyes before contridicting.

Okies.. I think the chords are more important.

But solos are sometimes the best part of a song.
So it's a tough call.

I'd say chords though.
But yes, they are both very important. 3nodding

Solos are like hot sauce.
A bit can spice things up, but if you have too much of it, then it sucks.

Okay, chords are the backbone to a song, without them, you would have nothing...So, I feel that chords are much more important to the structure of a song, but the solo's and fun riffs are the fingerprint for song...okay, for structure, chords, for originality, riffs....

Doesn't pop punk typically use only one chord anyway?

I'm just going to remind myself of Ian MacKaye's deffinition of punk.

Give me a link to something your band has done please.

There is so much to song structure that you can't really pick out one thing on one instrument that is most important.

Even "God Saves The Queen" has a solo.

Chill buddy. Its actually a good question..

I think power chords are a must for most punk/rock music.Picking is optional when it comes to being classy.
