Sometimes, just sometimes... having nothing to do was just as good, however, today was not one of those times. Or so thought Shinzu as he strolled the house, peeking into each and every room he passed by, almost as if hoping someone would entertain him. After all, falling asleep over the grand piano had proven to be a bad idea; specially when someone had strolled up to play the instrument, thus awaking him and causing him to fall right off the high perch.
His brows knitted slightly, ears dropping an inch as he recalled the incident; his wings recalled it even further, for... he'd kind of fallen over his right one, bending it slightly. A sigh followed the thought as he finally gave up on the house and strolled out of the house through the feli flap door, entering the porch.
It just seemed like today was not meant to be a day of much TO do at any rate. Sitting down, the seraph lifted his gaze to the ceiling, suddenly wondering... just how many cracks the porch ceiling had (Hey, it was something to DO, now wasn't it?), and thus, he sat about counting each and every crack, following them with a clawed finger, pointing till he found... there were no more crack to count less he moved. Taking into account the need, the male began to pace backwards whilst still counting; needless to say that he wasn't quite paying attention to where he was going, and thus... tripping over a laying, perhaps napping someone was inevitable.
Blinking, the icy seraph soon enough found himself laying over someone, "Uhm..." a pause as he rolled over, coming nose to nose with a familiar face. Instantly his eyes went wide. Er.... oops?. It was the only logical thought his mind supplied, yet sadly, his vocal cords did not echo it and he merely remain laying atop the other form, his nose touching the other's as his mouth hung open, obviously trying to work some sort of sound yet failing rather lamely.

Iris had finally, finally escaped the hell of being forced to watch over Pip (for while in the body of an adult, his mentality remained that of someone quite a bit younger), and been so utterly exhausted that she all but passed out asleep the moment she found a soft, vacant spot on the floor.
This pleasant, desperately needed sleep was sadly cut short-- and right in the middle of a wonderful dream where Riddick was tearfully announcing he had been diagnosed with a fatal, incurable disease-- when she was... well, she wasn't really sure what had happened, except that it hurt and her brain was drowsily insisting there was someone she needed to maul half to death.
Blinking the blurriness from her vision, Iris lifted her head to find herself eye-to-eye with... a female seraph? Ah, but no-- she'd met this one before, and it was a he, that's right, and--
--why was he laying on top of her?
With dangerous slowness, she ground the words out, "...what the HELL do you think you're doing?"

A meep was all the male managed before he swiftly did the first thing he thought of; which was to.... well, cover his eyes lamely with his paws, "I was counting cracks and I tripped and you were there and I fell and I'm SO SO SORRY!" the words were practically wailed, yet the seraph had yet to remove himself from atop Iris' back; in fact, it never once occurred to him that perhaps it was this why she was mad at him, his mind never skidding into such thoughts, "I didn't mean to wake you up! And I didn't mean to hurt you! And I'm sorry! I'm very, VERY sorry! I'll bake you a pie! Please don't hurt me!" he lay his head down further, resting it over the fae's back pitifully, paws still covering his eyes as he shook from sheer terror.
If anything was clear by this display of utter pathetic-ness it was that the seraph had not been harvoring any dirty thoughts at least, specially since he'd still not removed himself from his perch atop her back; all what he seemed intent on doing was shaking and whimpering softly. Her voice had sacred the hell out of him... no one had spoken to him like that; however, he'd made mental note that tripping was considered to be a very, VERY bad thing in Iris' brain.
He wasn't going to ask her why this was however. In fact, were he not petrified with fear, Shinzu would have turned tail and ran well away from the fae long back.... alas, the icy feli had never been all that good when it came to pausing to think mid-crisis.

She opened her mouth to continue screaming, but... somehow, the words just refused to come out. Something was very wrong here; this Feli was not acting the way he should be! He was acting... pathetic, and apologetic, and... well, frankly, more like a female pup than anything else. And if there was anything she didn't hate, it was a cute little pup.
Plus, the crying thing was really unnerving the hell out of her.
Iris's mouth opened and closed several times before words finally made it out, although they were hesitant and about as strong as the seraph's spine. "Uh. It's... okay. I'm not hurt, but... erm, could you... get off me? ...please?"
She closed her eyes in defeat, her mouth a thin line. Not only was something wrong with this situation, something was wrong with her.

Even after Iris finally spoke, it took the seraph several seconds to react; a paw slowly lifted from one of his eyes to regard her slightly, his frame still shaking, however... he complied, nodding his head somewhat as he slid off her back.
No words were spoken by him however, and no sounds uttered aside from a slightly sniffling, and perhaps a barely audible whimper as his gaze remain on the patch of floor that lay right between the two of them. It wasn't till a whole minute had gone by that Shinzu finally allowed himself to look up, his brows knitted in concern, "I'm.... sorry...?" he offered yet again, the words coming out as a mere whisper, far less softer than he'd intended them to be, however, no sooner had he looked up that he noticed... something was wrong.
Maybe he was really hurt her? Or maybe she was sick? Or maybe something worse?
Swiftly, moved by... some unknown feeling akin to worry, the Seraph found himself circling her, sniffing here and there, looking at her wings, her tail, her front paws, and yet she seemed to be physically well, "Are you completely sure you're not hurt? You're making that.... face....." sniffing at her again, he pulled back, still looking horribly worried, and horribly restless, as if everything bad that had happened were his fault entirely.

Again she had the displeasure of finding herself without words; Iris could only stare, stupidly, at Shinzui as he circled her.
"...."
She was hurt, in all honesty. Terribly hurt-- irrevocably damaged-- but not outside, but in her mind. She not only found herself incapable of attacking the male, but she had absolutely no motivation for doing it anyway. She should have been infuriated, fuming and bristling, ready and willing to attack and tear the smirking, obnoxious grin right from his nasty male face--
But she didn't. She couldn't. And, for that matter, he was hardly living up to his role in this whole thing either. Here, instead of laughing and taunting her, he was crying and making sure she was alright. Here, instead of beating him 'till he bled and begged for mercy, she was utterly unable to do so much as glare at him.
Realizing her broken expression was probably only worrying further-- jeez, the last thing she needed was to have to awkwardly reassure him, too-- she forced a smile and choked out, as sincerely as possible, "I'm really, really just fine. Don't worry about it."
