While Nintendo is going with the pricing range that has always worked in the past. But Sony is saying, "We're Sony, we've been on top for two generations. We can charge whatever we want and people will buy it!" I hear that voice in my head whenever people defend Sony and the price range. Look at the long term people!!!
What is someone saying if they want PS3 to dominate the market? In this ideal "Sony" future, when Nintendo goes out of business and when everyone goes out and buys a PS3 willingly at the 600 price mark then you will be forever saying to companies that the consumer is willing to pay 600 bucks for video game consoles! Think about that and chew on that for a bit. You would never see a Console at 200 again! When you go and pay 600 you say to a company, "I don't care if you rob me blind, I'll pay whatever you want me to pay!" this olny encourages sony to make higher prices. Buying a PS3 at full price doesn't sound so good when you think of it that way, huh?

Sony is becomming too overconfindent
and this will be their downfall
just like nintendo when the N64 came out
they thought the brand name Nintendo would sell itself
but they were wrong and it will take them two generation
to become No.1 or 2

just like nintendo when the N64 came out
they thought the brand name Nintendo would sell itself
but they were wrong and it will take them two generation
to become No.1 or 2 think it this way, the more arrogant sony acts, the more doomed they are. it defys logic how sony could still have a loyal fan or two that may actually want to willingly waste money on a piece of s**t that is overpriced! I'll get me a $200-$250 Wii, it OWNS. I should start a petition to Nintendo about an avatar search option. use the friend code a bit under the avatar and desired name, and Wii should work out fine. meanwhile, sony is doomed to DIE. I just hope that Team Ninja makes a DOA game that would sit happily on Wii. ^_^ that I'd shell out full price. I'm still waiting on Mortal Kombat Armageddon to gain a GC release. ^_^

Yeah that was a shock to the system. *sigh* I don't know what they are thinking and if the other companies follow suite. Will I just have to go get another game cube so when my blows out I will have another one.
@Yoshikazu I don't find it too racist. I just hate the clothes and the fact that the Black chick looks like a man. It does give off that Plantation feel to it. However that Ad is part of a set. There's one where the Black chick is on top of the white one.
I chop it off as shock vaule which would work for Playstation seeing that the whole thing about thier products is shocking.

my idea is for Wii to incorporate an avatar search. I heard some people are not happy with the whole friend code idea, so I thought, why not up the ante? some people have poor memory and cannot find their family or friends online on numbers alone, so why not make an avatar search?
you make your avatar of either using a picture already in your Wii game, or a picture you make yourself from a 3D model from a custom fighter making game. say you made a custom fighter in a Wii fighting game, from scratch with things like eyes, nose, mouth, ears, etc, the whole bundle. then you punch in your name. after that your friend code is applied under your avatar picture and name. that will be your Wii registration.

it would make things easier, though I'm wondering it the search should use rows of two or three. like a left, a middle, and a right.
I would appreciate things to be made simpler. ^_^
