Kim wasn't too sure what she was doing there, a ball in hand, on the small basketball court. She didn't know, and didn't really care. She wasn't crying anymore from the news - it was her belief that she had shed all the tears she could have for AWHILE - but she wasn't expecially happy either, and it showed with how blank she looked. Kim almost always at least smiled, but now was not the case.

The pterodactyl - a ******** dinosaur ! - in her had gotten more than a bit bored at being walled into the duplex, and so there she was, akwardly dribbeling a ball. It wasn't as hard as one could have thought, since 4 of her fingers where mostly normal. The lack of the 5th, however, made it a bit harder for the ball to go in the correct direction.

Jamal hadn't been one to frequent the village anymore. Why should he? He rarely spoke to anyone nowadays and most of his necessary belongings had been hauled out to his little jungle space, there was no need to tromp around the village. He did still eat at the cafeteria though; while raw meat was somewhat satisfying in its own way, he wasn't fully okay with it.

It was on a trip back from said cafeteria that he heard a familar noise. Was someone playing basketball? As much as he didn't feel like being social, the prospects of a good game of ball outweighed that. No one HE knew played ball; maybe a new person had been dropped that knew the game.

He rounded the corner and was met with the sight of the dino-girl and her awkward ball handling, but he couldn't quite recognize who it was. His first thought was that she had no idea how to play, but then again, when one had pinkies the size that this girl had, even he could cut them some slack.

"So someone on dis ********' island can play ball...o' at least dribble," he commented drolly, caring little if he startled her or not.

Kim perked a bit, not really startled, but not really unsurprised, either. She caught the ball with both hands as it bounced up before turning to look at him - she had reconized the voice, of course, but it didn't look like he had reconized her. She couldn't really blame him, after all she had issues reconizing herself in the mirror in the morning.

"Hmm... thanks ?" She managed after a moment. tossing a bang of hair back. "It's kind of hard now, but I've done worse."

Jamal cocked a brow in an appraising manner, trying to place the voice with a name, as he sauntered over. He knew he ought to know who this was, but his people skills and memory had gone down the tubes along with his humanity. He did remember vaguely one girl who had super long hair...but it was hard to place the nationality he also remembered with the alienesque features of this woman.

"I think yer da first person I've seen ta pick up a basketball b'sides maself since I got herr. Ya play much?...or did ya play much b'fo all this s**t?" he inquired, waving bluntly at her odd hands. Maybe if she had, he could hit her up for a game of ball. One on none was only fun for so long. It'd be a far cry from streetball, but at least it was something.

"No, not really." She shrugged. "I did some in high school, but I wasn't that good. I guess im a bit too short." She rose an eyebrow as well - he really did look up in the fumes. "Im Kim. Can't blame you for forgetting - it's been a long time and visibely I had to go alien somewhere in between."

...Was it a sad thing that "alien" sounded more plausible than what she was REALLY becoming ?

"Mmm," he uttered flatly, though a flash of recognition did pass into his ice-toned eyes and he nodded a little. "Sorry. I ain't good wit' names 'n' 'specially not when peeps ain't lookin' da same as I seen 'em last." That might have been an apology or just an explaination of his shitty memory; the tone of voice remained flat so it was hard to tell. He shrugged soon after though and eyed the ball in her malformed hands.

"But ya got some idea how da game goes then, yeah? Dat's half da battle fo' some ********' people...ya jus' gotta get used ta da crazy s**t ya body changes inta. Took me awhile, but I kin still ball a'ight." He paused, actually thinking about his words for a moment. "....though I ain't got two foot long finga's eitha. What 'zac'ly you turnin' inta?"

Kim didn't even really bother to figure out if the explaination was an apology or, well, a simple explaination - her head was screwed up enough as it without adding to it.

"Havn't happened to me yet, but I guess it will eventually." She shrugged. "But I know the ropes, yeah. Took me some time to figure out how I was supposed to dribble with this s**t." She shook her head, and then he asked it. The question.

"Something completely crazy." She muttered, attempting to throw the ball in the net. It bounced off the board and she caught it again. "It shouldn't even be possible, but nothing else work. Pterodactyl. A dinosaur, if you prefer. And the b*****d thought I would be thrilled to hear that !" She seethed.

Jamal made a motion with his hands to passively encourage her to pass him the ball while giving her a full once-over, carefully keeping his expression as nonthreatening as possible for once. From what he remembered, Kim wasn't a bad person to chill with.

"...A dino? Well, there's one guy dat's s'posed ta be a dragon, I think, so...dinos were at least real at one point, yeah?" Of course, Jamal didn't know Zach's serum was a combination one, otherwise he wouldn't have brought it up. The tiger man had no idea how the mechanics of the serums really worked. "But s**t, dat's onna da flyin' ones, ain't it?" It made sense, if her fingers were indication of anything.

The black haired girl couldn't help but raise an eyebrow as she passed the ball over.

"A dragon ?" Hmm. Holy s**t. What ? "...That's really ******** up." Maybe even more than HER, she had to admit. "And yeah, a flying one. Tho I don't see myself flying at all."
