I'm first chair but my arch- nemesis wants to be.. and she cheats!
Her parents are the band parents, her private lessons teacher just so happens to pick out the music and judge! Her parents SAT OUTSIDE OF THE ROOM and practically ran it (her mom was checking people in and so forth)! She failed every test they had on the region music in sectionals and somehow, magically, she got FOURTH CHAIR REGION.
The only reason I'm angry about this is our chairs are set put until region. If you make region, the higher chair you are at region, the higher chair you are at school.

I'M PISSED. (am I allowed to use that word?) ugh!! DON'T EVER LET PARENTS JUDGE ESPECIALLY IF THEIR OWN CHILDEREN ARE AUDITIONING!!! DX favoritism! YARGH! Anyways, my teacher and another clarinet teacher at the school usually do the auditions--of course, he still doesn't go soft on me, nor any of his other students, if he doesn't go soft on scale tests obviously he won't be so nice during a audition, DX. wait hold on, fourth chair region? in fourth row? or fourth chair? ::still a bit confused:: anyways, just work hard--your BD usually checks the scores. Also, maybe it would be best if auditions were recorded--like in all southern and all state, judges can have favoritism if they have their student there (of course my teacher still doesn't do that...mad and happy about that o_O) for instance, our flute teacher, dedra, she has favoritsm, she put rebecca in symphonic band last year, and SEVENTH chair, while she put her studen who plays baritone AND sucks alot at flute in FIRST. So, recording auditions are the best thing. unless your teacher does favoritism too gonk also, its alright to use that word XD

UGH I DESPISE FAVORITISM....well actually not really because my teachers favor me biggrin whee
Anyways, I can get into all-county and all-state without my teachers boosting up my grades HOW RUDE mad

anyways
for me in band this year~!
Wind ensemble is now zero period--Mr. Acciani has noticed that many people (including me) want to take another class but still be in band; spanish, art honors, computers, study skills, choir, drama, leadership (most boring thing in the whole wide world ._. ), year book...etc etc. So he volunteered to take over zero period (we almost had no zero period for next year..iono why) for free o_O; he was like, "our band students make other things BETTER" O_o weirdo rolleyes
I was going to take band twice a day but...ugh mr. a yelling in my face when he finds out i couldn't site read a song later on in the day gonk that'd be BAD o_O; and he'd make me run around making copies and helping the clarinetist who are reluctant to be taught the right way gonk . I mean, I'd love to teach them but they NEVER listen sometimes -_-; how could i get peace? So, I decided to take art honors blaugh
yes isn't that a surprise i actually got into art honors? rofl its even more a surprise i got into wind ensemble...
anyways
the things we WILL DO!!!
obviously mr. a will make us bleed to death practicing for all state and all southern starting in october. Then, our winter concert, chamber music concert in feb (I'm hoping to play mozart's clarinet concerto in it blaugh )
Our music at the pointe festival in march blaugh fun st00f...
Then we're gonna prepare for our competitions to get into regionals.
Around april we're going to either London (We weren't able to go this year..iono why rolleyes atleast we got to go to carnegie blaugh ) china or new york again whee whee whee
yeah...

whoo! I got my music schedule for next year!!!!!
omg! next year is gonna be SOOO fun for me whee whee
-all state
-all southern
-a bunch of band competitions
-band trip..to either new york to perform at carnegie again, or London for the harrowgate festival or China :]
-CYSO competition [california youth orchestra competition eek ]
-DBHS audition!!!
-NAU CAMP WITH NICOLIOLIOLI!!!!!!!! 4laugh 4laugh
-and if possible NSLC arts :]!!! (my sis who was in NSLC for law says she'll suggest me!! heart ]
>w whee whee also all state too!!! I'm gonna prove to mr. A I don't suck!!!
and I gotta get that solo too in sanctuary whee whee the competitions will be fun!!!
the CYSO is a SCARY competition, VERY scary, all the people who won are SEVENTEEN YEAR OLDS who are PIANO AND VIOLIN PRODIGIES who started when they were FOUR YEARS OLD eek eek eek but its one of the most important for me, because I'd be able to perform as a featured soloist in the next two seasons!!! whee whee I might get discovered somehow...>w
DBHS audition, I'm hoping to get into the wind symphony, my teacher believes i will :sweat
then the fun music camp with nicole and hopefully my 1337 mallet friend margaret
and then maybe this NSLC arts thing...if my sis suggests me then i'll be able to go new york again!!! heart
