I don't know if I said this one already but it is nearly 100% true! Try it yourself! You'll notice it in a lot of animes (or at least the most famous ones in the US).
If you have a flashback of ANYTHING, your gonnah die that episode.
Examples:
Paranoia Agent= That false Lil' Slugger kid who "commited suicide"
Trigun= NDW had an entire flashback about his childhood then got shot
s-CRY-ed= Kimishima remembers his first experience with Kazuma
Saikano= Tetsu talks about his wife then dies in the war
Full Metal Alchemist= Meas Hughes has a flashback of Mustang almost killing himself and their promise to make it to the top.... Gets shot and makes thousands of fans roar (behold the siggy!)
Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X= Ever seen Reflections? One very long flashback of Kenshin's life. Or in Betrayal, Tomoe thinks of her husband. Then Kenshin kills her later on by accident (TOOOOOMMMOOOOOEE!!!) I'm pretty sure Shishio had a flashback too.
Excel Saga= Pedro talks about his "Sexy Wife and son, Sandora" with Excel back in Ep. 1. Gets burnt alive and becomes a ghost for the rest of the series except the VERY last episode (AKA "Going Too Far").
Cowboy Bebop= Practically everybody (with exceptions to Faye, Jet, and Radical Edward who came damn close to dying) dies when they have a flashback. Guy on Venus saving his sister? Got shot. Spike and Vicious? Thought about Julia soo much they killed eachother.... along with Julia.
Outlaw Star= The McDougal brothers have a few flashbacks and die at the end (well the younger one did).
Gungrave= Harry McDouhle and Brandon Heat both die in the deires. Actually happens to Brandon twice and both episodes concern their past and flashbacks.
DBZ= Don't get me started. Its true for this series as well but they all come back alive anyways so it doesn't really matter. But the fact is that it is true.
Gundam: SEED= Mu La Flaga has his short flashback about commander lady (forgot her name) and gets blown up.
Gundam: 08th MS Team= I forgot everybody's names because its been about 5 years since I've seen this series but the lady's brother dies at the end after she remembers how much of a kind man he used to be.
Zatchbell= The green Momoto thingy (I call him Peter Pan but thats not his real name) that belonged to that one rich kid dies. During the episode she remembers how they first met.
Dragon Hunter= That one girl who used the dragon flute had a flashback on the previous volume and later dies from using her spirit to kill all the Japanese invading Korea/China (pretty sure its Korea but it may be China) by summoning a giant dragon. (Oh yeah. Daechang-nim has a totally cool part in the volume too)
Alright. Can't think of anymore.

Another thing that isn't true for all but I've been noticing it a lot.
If your a female superhero in the anime world, whenever you transform, you need a Tutu and a really really REALLY wierd transformation animation (Tokyo Mew Mew/Mew Mew Power, Sailor Moon, Princess Tutu, Puni Puni Poemi, Card Captor Sakura).

Those are good. I know one thing. If there is a relationship between a cold hearted guy and a girl, the guy will become nicer as the series goes by.

RomancerX Those are good. I know one thing. If there is a relationship between a cold hearted guy and a girl, the guy will become nicer as the series goes by. Too true. The Gundam series is full of it! Also, the younger the audience an anime is aimed towards, the wierder it gets. One Piece, though it is good, is friggin' wierd. Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo is.... well its in its own category of wierd. Naruto? The characters are wierd. DBZ? You know it. Sailor Moon? Deffinately. Pokemon? Don't get me started.

Whenever there is a strong main character, there will always be some evil, obsessed person going after them.

Another rule, if the main villain isn't gay, he has somebody under him that looks the part, acts the part, or is the part.
Yet we love them anyways. Except Zarbon. He should die twice over.

No more Zarbon. In an anime most of the time the main character will win most of the fights in the beginning then fight some really strong person that will knock them down a step or two, it could happen the other way around too.
