its been brought to my attention over time that some of the best players always have the crappiest equipment. i've seen some local players with good amps, but the stuff looks just wrecked and they r the uber s**t. all the guys in my area that have really nice guitars all are spoiled brats who thnik they know how to play. its not in the equipment. its all in the player.
One thing also people with good guitars can still be good. but I kindve agree with you im not bad and Im playin on a 15 yr old takamine from a pawn shop. But I am getting a Gibson in the fall. Im saving for one as we speak.
thats true, but more often than not, those who have been playing for less than 5 years and have uber nice guitars aren't that good. i know this kid, he's been playing for 3 years, he has a Les Paul Standard and he blows. i'm more worried about equipment right now. i wanna get a Mesa Stiletto Trident head for my cabnet. but everywhere i've been hasn't even had one in stock. i have a low scale but still solid Japanese made Jackson SL-3 soloist. it hasn't failed me yet.
