From what I saw of her intro episode she's an okay pilot. And her Zoids is cool. XD But yeah, she takes advantage of her looks to get... desired results from people. XD Even Ruuji, though he's like... 13. x_x; Scary.

Well, as you watch more you'll see what she's really like and her history.
Besides Ryuuji, Ra-Kan, and Re-Mii, she's one of the most important characters in Genesis, not because she's a main character, but because of something else, you'll see.

Eh, given what happens at the end I wouldn't say she's that important. Ending of Genesis being one of the most disappointing things to me since being introduced to zoids way back.
But yeah, Kotona isn't a bad pilot per say. Not sure if she's a great pilot considering the situations she's placed in but that way it's a bit more realistic compared to being able to handle everything that comes your way.

Well,, she played a major role in that one part with the Zoid that was needed (not being more specific to avoid spoilers)
It did end pretty fast. Maybe if they just had an epilogue to wrap up everything, that would've made a world of difference, but nonetheless, I still loved Genesis and was only disappointed in the fact that it ended.

Given the role the zoid ended up playing one could argue that it wasn't needed at all. I mean, it falls, takes some damage, they leave it on a cliff.
And I'm not talking about the speed at which it ended. More the storyline went all over the place, the flow of the final episode was completely messed up, previously mentioned zoid which they've been hyping up for most of the series plays no part other than being a cliff decoration, big baddie takes a big big jar of uber bad-guy syndrome in some really lame ways and so forth. The final ep made me want to tear my hair out >_>
Overall Genesis wasn't too bad. Perhaps not gelling the non-fighting scenes and fight scenes together as well as they could've but as a whole it was fairly good. Pity that things went to shambles near the end in what could've been a fantastic finish.

Nono, the spoiler-y zoid though to some people it's a bit obvious at to what that zoid is. It's hyped up for the greater part of the series, does stuff for an episode and a bit but after taking a bit of damage it effectively takes a dirt nap. Laaaaaaaame >_>
Rainbow Jerk get's shafted later on as well along with all the other major zoids, why they messed up such a good opportunity I don't know >_>
