Twisted Davros Yet you'd still be nothing more than an overgrown, manically xenophobic, blob-in-a-shell. Blob? Eh. That's what Daleks look like on the inside, but is that what Cybermen look like? We didn't really see much of them... only their 'heart'.

Sepik But he said 'The Eternals called it Howling." Maybe they died in the Time War? Maybe the writers just thought that 'eternals' sounded cool and stuck it in... ^^ I wouldn't put it past them. I do hope they explain who they are in a later episode. But are they in an older episode I just don't know about? (I've only seen nine and ten.) The Eternals were explained in much greater detail in the fifth Doctor adventure Enlightenment, part three of the Black Guardian Trilogy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enlightenment_(Doctor_Who)

Twisted Davros I think the Cybermen have been handled exceptionally well this season. They look phenomenal, sound great and have an excellent story behind them. How can that be considered 'shabby'? I'd debate the 'story' part of that but you'd have to see Jettrickrant #893-B in the Rise Of The Cybermen board for that ;D

Hairy Priest Jettrick Maybe I'm the only one here who remembers what happened the last time the daleks and cybermen were shoehorned into the same production for the sake of scoring easy ratings. The Five Doctors, anyone? And that rather underwhelming Children in Need thingo...which co-incidentally also made use of 3D glasses <.< Now do you see why I'm so skeptical? xD Actually I always thought the problem with The Five Doctors was the shoehorning in of four extra Doctors, some random companions, and an over-the-top Master. The addition of bumbling Cybermen and a Dalek that can be shoved around by an old man and his aging granddaughter was just icing on the cake... Anyway, it's not the Cybermen or Daleks that makes me most excited about this story, it's that we're finally getting rid of Rose! Hurray!!! You dont like Rose??

I should probably mention that last year I went off on a huge one about how lame the first season finale was but now, with the benefit of hindsight, I fully appreciate how it stands for everything that's good about the revitalised Doctor Who series. If I say mean things about the show it's usually just because a few minor points are only 95% brilliant compared to the rest which is 100% goodness. At no point should anyone attach any meaning to my railing against the show other than the fact that I am angry at not being allowed to direct my own episode D:
I do love Who, I really do. I love the Cybermen and the Daleks and even Jackie Tyler (intermittantly, when she isn't flashing her knickers at people). And I'm sure next week's episode will be immense.
It still has to be Daleks ftw though.

duely noted. And yes, I'd rather be a Dalek than a Cyber man. Yes I may be a blob, but a blob with skin nonetheless!

*finaly saw it* Grrr, stupid me-being-at friends'-place-all-weekend-and-them-not-being-converted-yet.
I DID convert them, though. Just didn't watch enough with them to show them a spoilerific episode like this one. (Watched up until Dalek. I'll be showing them more in September, 'cause I'll be living with them)
So, episode:
Rose announcing that she's gonna die in the first five minutes completely defeated the purpose of me avoiding spoilers. -_-. Although I had already guessed she was gonna die, I was still clinging to hopes... Denial ain't just a river in Egypt...
And a flashback with Nine! biggrin Pleasent surprise, as short as it was.
Jackie snogging the Doctor was love. His face afterwards was even better. lol
I'd almost forgotten about the 3D glasses 'till I saw someone here mentioning it. It was just so "WTF?" and great at the same time.
And YAY MICKEY!!! Caught me by surprise, he did. I was all "I know that voi--OMGMICKEYLOVE!!!"
I expected the Cybermen, 'cause of the preview and the TARDISODES and stuff, but the Daleks were a COMPLETE surprise. When the Doctor mentioned that the sphere exsisted outside of time and space, I actually thought of the Time Lords, since their plannet was supposed to be outside Time and Space too, wasn't it? But then when the Daleks showed up I cheered. Loudly...
It's probably a bad thing that I cheered because the "big bad guys" showed up instead of more good guys.... Ah, but Daleks are loff... heart
I had to go to work right after I watched the ep, and every once and a while I would just think of the episode and bounce in my chair a little. Good thing no one was really looking at me.
So anywho, loff! biggrin

You had drama, you had susepnce, you had comedy!
I absolutly LOVED the Ghost Buster bit! whee And his freaky little dance 4laugh <3 And his face when he wipped his mouth after Jackie kissed xd !! I haven't squee-ed or bounced so much in a loooong time but screw the legs, it was worth it gonk heart
HOW BLOODY COOL!? Cyber Men and Daleks! You just know they're going to turn on each other ninja How smecksy is that epidose going to be!? Ten times smecksier than the last one, that's how much!
