Richard Cox is definately one of my favorites. I wasn't fond of his acting in Inuyasha. He doesn't do angry characters well. He was awesome in ZOIDS. He worked on Hamtaro too. =o He's also had minor roles in some American animated and live-action series too.

I like Wendy Lee too. I want to make love to that woman's voice. heart

Did you know most of the orginal Loony Tunes characters were voiced by the same man? Mel Blanc, he did alot of characterization for them as well. He was one of the first career voice actors, before that they were usually done by the animators themselves. heart

Crispin Freeman gets a kudo in my book for his excellent voice acting on Chobits as Hideki Motosuwa. Chobits continues to hold a place as one of the only English dubs that I have been extremely pleased with. 3nodding

Alot of American redubbers seem to lack varitiey in their voice. I think adopting different vocal characteristics is a good quality in VAs.
For example, I haven't seen Cowboy Bebop dubbed in about 2 years but when I saw the ad for Samurai Champlan I imdeinty recongnized the VA. The guy that played Vash and Wendy Lee sounds the same in all their parts.
There are American voice actors that can change their voice. Lex Lang sound completly different when he is playing Sanosuke compared to Goemon, although he acting skills are sub-par. The Japanese voice of Sanosuke, Yuji Udea is also good at altering his voice; he also played Keitaro in Love Hina.

I'm not saying that Japanese VA's don't have this problem too. I don't like the actress that playes Clarssie in Castle of Caglostro, Nausicaa and several other Miyazaki characters; she doesn't have much varity.

Actually, this problem isn't limited to just VA's. Orlando Bloom seems to play all his characters the same too. wink
