Mercinaries of Hyrule: Lands of the Lost. IntroHyrule the once prosperous kingdom, now ravaged by evil. With the Hero of Time, the Royalty and the Sages missing, nobody stands in the way of this evil. ____________________________________________________ The king sat at his throne, the only remaining member of the royal family remaining in the castle. He looked to his advisor and spoke softly with much worry about his face, "Have the documents been prepared?"
His advisor looked to him studdering as he spoke, "Ye...yes my la...lord." He handed the king the document and took a few steps backward.
"This will have to do... we have no other choice. It has been three weeks now with no word from any of them..." The king handed him the document and spoke sternly, "I want this replicated and put everywhere in sight."
The kings advisor bowed and quickly walked out of the room. The Document:____________________________________________________ Wanted 1,000,000 rupie reward for the arrest of the kidnapper of the Royalty and Guardians. The king requests assistance of warriors from all of Hyrule. Mercinaries will be paid when the victims are returned.
The King's Advisor, Seriimon. ____________________________________________________ The doctument was passed about all of Hyrule especially in the towns surrounding the castle. It was only a matter of time till they flowed in... and the King awaited that time.

I am but a soldier... but a pawn in the eyes of the king... and noting but an obstruction... nothing more than a grain of sand to the sea in the eyes of the enemy...
Iren son of Sora marched along the streets of the castle town contemplating his situation. He could see the large wooden drawbridge in the distance war torn from the past months of fighting against the evil that had spread throughout Hyrule. The draw bridge lowered as we approached, no longer smoothly like it had before the war, but in small sharp drops. As it finally struck the other side of the moat he was asured that his death was near. He glanced among the horizon seeing nothing but the Legion.... The Legion of the Fallen, as they called it. They only attacked by night and disappeared at the first light of dawn, not to be seen again until they brought siege upon the castle walls the next night. They were brutally fierce and they took no prisoners, so the war had only one rule. Kill or be killed.
Iren ran upon the battle field slaying two skeletal warriors. He stopped and looked around at his friends and fellow warriors and then to the west upon the crest of the hill. Upon the horizon set a figure, magnificent yet horrid... It was their leader.
His dark sliver plate armor embedded with rubies carrying a golden sword that would take two normal men to wield in his left hand and in his left a shield, golden with some sort of a symbol embedded into it.
As Iren looked at this strange individual his heart was struck with terror as it seemed that he looked straight at him with his glowing red eyes. The beast raised his tremendous blade and the siege stopped. All of the Legion returned to the crest of the hill. Was the battle over just as quickly as it had begun?
The dark figure set the sword and shield upon his back and raised his hands just as the sun began to hit the crest of the hill. He formed a large dark sphere above him, it began to glow with a sickly green. He dropped one hand holding the massive sphere above himself and hurled it toward Iren as the whole Legion disappeared. The sphere struck the ground where Iren and his fellow knights stood striking many including Iren and leaving them laying upon the field.

Malon awoke to the sounds of war as she had many times since the legion war had begun, but this time it seemed different as if there were something near. Malon moved closer to the window and heard the clatter of a horse walking right outside below her window. She knew it wasn't one of her horses. She looked through the crack in her shutters.
"Do not approach me you fiend! You shall not take our ranch!" Talon tried to fend of a large black clad armored legion warrior on a seeming demonic horse in armor to match. Talon jabbed at the warrior with a pitch fork till he was cornered against the wall of the barn.
The warrior raised his hand as it began to burn with a red flame, he struck downwards at the pitchfork being stabbed at him and incinerated it. He then raised his other hand with his colossal sword and began to chant his demonic voice carrying through the whole ranch.
Talon fell to his knees grasping his throat seemingly gasping for air. He caught one last breath, "Malon!!!" He screamed as he was engulfed within a dark sphere.
"Father!!!" Malon screamed as the sphere disappeared. The dark figure on the horse looked toward her closed shutters. Malon could feel an evil grin beneath his helmet, she also knew her father was alive.
The warrior stepped off of his horse and marked the ground where Talon had been standing. It glowed red as he stood and got back upon his horse. He rode back upon the once grand fields of Hyrule.
Malon ran to the spot where her father was before he vanished. She spotted her father's broach and picked it up, as she picked it up she noticed something metal sticking out of the ground. She ran her finger across it and looked at her finger. She was bleeding, but her interest's were struck. She ran to the shed on the far side of the ranch and returned with the shovel. She dug deep till the sun had risen and finally found what had cut her. She looked upon the ground at the object she had brought to the surface. It was a terrible and wonderful sight all at the same time. It was a weapon ancient yet beautiful. Malon only knew one thing this artifact she would have to wield in order to save her father. She pulled one of the documents the king's adviser had posted in the ranch and prepared to accept the job of being a mercenary, with the weapon in hand.
[[Malon can now be selected, you may choose what the weapon is.]]

Malchior walked up to his horse clutching a letter in his hand. He had read it once already and his hands were shaking and decided to open it again. If you want to get rid of all those problems in the world, go to Death Mountain Crater and wait for further instructions. Not knowing if it was a trap or not, he took the reigns of his horse and galloped off toward Death Mountain.

Seig Xeonic walked through the dark woods from Temina into the grand fields of Hyrule stopping at the nearby stream to have a drink. He turned around and headed farther into the field coming to the large once white castle walls. As he stared at them the dreams came back. The dreams of that evil sorcerer and his tormenting mutilations in that drab dungeon he called his tower. But he knew he had been destroyed and he would never again be able to torment anyone again, that was the past... but he wondered what happened to the castle... It wasn't like this when he left on his previous journey. The walls of the castle walls were stained black in spots as if it had been hit by a relentless hail of fire. Walked toward the drawbridge, it had been war torn also stained black as if it had been burnt. As he looked toward Lon Lon Ranch at the once smooth grassy hills and saw only burnt grass with large craters... Then he saw a figure coming down the slope on a horse.
"Who is that..." He watched the figure as it grew larger. It was a girl with long red hair... "Is that Malon?" He jumped in Malon's path and she stopped quick and stared down at Sieg. "What happened," he asked. Malon didn't respond... She crumpled a paper up in her hand and threw it at him then rode into the town.
Sieg picked up the paper and straightened it out. "Mercenaries... Hyrule is at war? With whom?" Sieg clenched the document in his hand and it turned to ash. The ash drifted in the wind toward Death Mountain. He watched it and saw another figure on a horse ride into the village... a slightly darker figure. He turned toward the castle disregarding the figure probably just another mercenary. He started to walk through across the drawbridge and was stopped short in his tracks by the guards.
The lead guard stepped foreword and spoke, "What is your business here? I don't believe I've seen you around here before."
Sieg laughed a bit and looked the guard in the eye, "The name is Sieg Xeonic and I am a citizen of this land, I have on a quest for many years... The quest is of none of you concerns. Now if you will allow me to go along with my business." Sieg pushed past the guards leaving them standing and staring as he walked into the war torn city.

Malchior reached the confindes of Kakariko Village. The villagers greated him with open arms and Malchior scowled at them for being so carefree.
"Back with you peasents. I wish to travel into Death Mountain and no one will stop me!"
The villagers insisted to stop him and have him for drinks, but Malchior knew this and drew his blade. With a clean slice one of the villagers fell in a heap and Malchior rode through the village. The villagers didn't think of it at first other than him being another mercenary as they looked as he left the village up the mountain.

Sieg walked into the market, even through wartimes it continued as usual. This would be one of few things that gave people hope in this city, for they knew that they knew that not all had changed.
He spotted the Mask Shop and grinned. "Oh, boy... The mask shop." He walked into the mask shop scaring the the little man at the counter.
"Oh, hello sir, how may I help you?" The man stood still and stiff, he was nervous."
Sieg looked about the various masks, he saw one... it seemed to pierce into his mind he looked away quickly to avoid this pain. He then looked to the nervous man. "Oh just looking around... oh but there is one thing you could help me with..."

Looking around Death Mountain, Malchior realised that the mountain was still active and very dangerous. Looking at his horse he got down and all nessesary provisions and sent the horse back down. Climbing the mountain would be difficult for all the enemies on the mountain had changed since he was here last. As he walked though, the monsters backed away from him. One of the monsters greeted him into a cave in the mountain and led him into a dark room where it left him.

After a long session the mask salesman finally finished his story.
"So that explains why the castle is so war torn.... and of this reward offered by the king?"
"It's quite a treasure... but even as there are so many travelers searching already, they seem to have vanish even as if they were never existed... It's quite a price but a waste of time. More than likely they will never be found."
"I beg to differ, I am a man of a... different sort, I'll leave it at that. I've seen, heard, and proven more than any man alive... and to this day none have faced me with a challenge I couldn't obliterate." Sieg looked back... as if something was watching him. "So how are your sales?"
"Well if you are in for business I have this mask here that came fresh from the Gerudo Valley just the other day..."
Sieg stared at the mask for a moment and interrupted the salesman. "I'll buy it... how much?"
"Um... that would be 50 rupees... they say this mask can hear all and see all... and it's quite unique."
Sieg handed him the rupees and took the mask. "Yes I can see that... but there may be more truth to it"
The sales man started to say something but paused... "What do you..."
Sieg crushed the mask and incinerated it to dust.
"WHAT DID YOU JUST DO!?!?!?" The salesman dropped to his knees.
"As I said there is more to... was more to it... it was enchanted... whoever enchanted this mask also heard everything that we just spoke of..." Sieg scanned the shelves for another. "It was for the best... the Gerudo's may not be as much on our side as we would like to believe..." Sieg waved at the sales man and walked through the heavy door back into the market.

"Let me free... Curse you damned sages! I SHALL NOT BE TRAPPED HERE FOREVER!!!" A wretched voice called in despair and anger.A bright light appeared nearly blinding the prisoner. "Why shall we FREE you? What have you done more than put others through misery?"Another figure appeared in the room along with the first. "Encouraging darkness though peaceful lands."Four more figures appeared behind the first two. One of them stepped up and spoke, "Splitting brothers, breaking hearts." Another of the new 4 spoke, "Destroying villages, setting free with madness beasts that should never be set free."A figure among them that hadn't spoke slinked her way around the rest, "Imprisoning the souls of man, turning them into beasts, and betraying those of which upheld you." A last figure stepped up and stared at wretched man, and spoke as if there was still ice within her veins, "Destroying the homes of the innocent, and manipulating the element that is most precious to one's life. The man squinted to see the individuals barely making out their faces, he jumped to his feet and tried to attack them but fell exhausted. "One day," he said balling his fists and pounding the ground, "One day... I shall have my revenge and you all shall suffer..."Another figure appeared and spoke with a soft but near deadly voice, " We have all suffered because of you, now it is your turn to despair."The light suddenly dimmed and it grew eerily quiet, he then heard what sounded like muffled screams. They stopped after a few seconds and a flame appeared beside him... It appeared to be within a hand. The hand removed it's gauntlet to reveal flesh. "Your time has come, but you shall never again be called the King of Evil."________________________________________________ Gannon reflected on the day he was freed from the wretched cell he had been trapped in by the Sages, Zelda, and the accursed "Hero of Time", he now sought revenge... and it was coming swift.
He had ORDERS now... but he no longer cared as long as each and everyone of his captors suffered. His orders were not to meet with a man by the name of Malchior, who had received a note to meet our guards on Death Mountain where I would further give him information and offer him a task...
Gannon walked into the room of which the beasts had directed Malchior. He looked at the ominous man and spoke clearly, "I am Gannon, I am a lesser in the command of the legion. You have been directed here to be offered an assignment." He rested his hand on the hilt of his sword and continued. "We are, as you would have to be blind to miss, at war with all of Hyrule and mercenaries are always greatfully accepted." Gannon grinned and stared directly into Malchior's eyes, "Have I made myself clear, or would you like me to answer questions?"
