Professional looking is good indeed.
And I'll second the ideas both of you suggested-- it's good to START while you're in school, that way you can get to learning the basics and what does and does not work for you while it's not like your life depends on it yet, but it's once you're out of school you get down to the real buisness of starting in earnest, getting serious about it. It's what I've done with my writing. In 7th grade when I decided it was what I wanted to do I knew I'd start working and getting practiced then but it wouldn't be until I was graduated that I'd have the time to really put all my effort into the deal. It's a combination of the two ideas to aim for I think, or atleast that's the principal I've been working on.
