I don't really like anime crossed with RENT, but the anime one's a lot better than the rocky horror one in my opinion.

Anime music videos with badly chosen songs that are just there because they're popular ditties is always bad, and RENT AMV's doesnt have an exclusive on that.
But it's no reason to bash all the RENT/anime AMV's...pick the right scenes and the right cartoon and it can actually be pretty amusing.

you know, I love Rent, but hate almost all anime. You know, I sometimes find it funny that I think this way yet am on an anime site. Anyways, I hate mostly all anime (99.9% anyway) and my overall rating of this clip was

neutral I would like a version of anime with the characters of RENT, not another characters sticked. I have seen someone in deviantart who are very interesting.

Hmmm... while I do agree that alot of anime probably -shouldn't- go along with RENT, I think there can be some exceptions. Depending on the csene portrayed in the Videos, and the similarities...
Not that I'm saying it's easy to make one that works well. I"m just saying I''ts possible.

H.a.k.u. I find that when people stick Rent music to anime... it makes me sick. I don't know why, but I hate it. Maybe I'm bias, but I don't want to see some godaweful anime cheezy thing tarnishing the good name of 'I'll Cover You'. Or some stupid thing using the 'Tango: Maureen' for something stupid. stressed 3nodding

Mmm...well I guess if you do it right then its okay...but I don't really like it so much. I think if the anime had the EXACT concept...like if there was the song Rent to an anime talking about eviction on rent and such.
Or "Light My Candle" to an anime about two lovers and one with a candle. Maybe thats just me but thats how I feel about it...
Who thinks an anime for Rent would be awesome? XD I think that'd be pretty cool!

i must admit that everyone here definitely has valid points. i can't think of much to say without restating something already posted, but what i'm saying is that as an anime fan and a RENT fan, i agree that the AMV's tend not to be too good. still there are some i've seen that weren't too bad (though they were to La Vie Boheme) so its not all bad.
