To claim a spot, simply post which Nequus you are competing with here in the thread with a link to their journal so I may grab their stats and update them in case you win.

Races will be held several ways.

1st: By RP! Two or more competitors will dike it out, roleplaying the race as it happens. The two will take turns posting, but watch out, because I'll be throwing in occurences in blue font that you will have to adapt to!

2nd: By Dice! This is the simplest form of racing, where I simply roll a dice and the Nequus with the closest number wins!

3rd: By Speed! I will post go, and the owners to respond first will win!

Role Play Racing

Once you have a slot reserved for racing roleplay racing can begin. Roleplay racing takes the most amount of time and effort of all the races, and is hardly ever more than a one on one race. However, it is a much more fun aspect to racing than rolling dice and you truly get to feel one with the action.

Role Play Racing will start by picking contestant posting order. Here I am setting up a scenario.

Quote:
1. Bill Nye
2. Jo Bob

Since the owner of Bill Nye the Soquili got his/her request for a slot in first they will be the first to make an RP post.

Next, either lost or Kealdra will post a starting post with the mule in blue text.

Quote:
The large male Bae narrowed his eyes and flicked his tail. He was responsible for maintaining the races around these parts and making sure they stayed secure and healthy. He wouldn't have any cheating. Races were sometimes used as ways to settle disputes and he had to make sure they were fair. Raising his head to the two anxious competitors he bellowed one loud, "GO!"

The two competitors will make their starting posts and continue posting, however, they must keep their eyes peeled for anymore blue text from Nequus that might affect them. These posts will happen sporadically. Posts do not have to be very long, but they do have to make the Nequus do something. A interruption post you will have to adapt to may look like this.

Quote:
Bill Nye entered a mushy region, the ground is very soft and Nequus sink in easily.

10% Complete

Bill Nye's owner's next post will have to adapt to these circumstances. What does the Nequus do? The percent complete means how far from the finish line the Nequus are.

The 100% post will include a winnner, which will go to the Rper who shows the most creativity and skill in writing. You don't have to be the best Rper to win by any means. Its just for fun!

Dice Rolling

Once all the slots have been filled ( usually 6-8 ) Dice Rolling will begin.

There are two methods of dice rolling games.

Tournament Style: Nequus Race off in pairs and go through a series of rounds till a winner is chosen.

Group Style: All roll at once to determine a winner.

All dice rolling, no matter tournament or group, will follow the same procedure.

Nequus will roll a hundred sided die.

Participants will roll their own 100 sided die and try to be the closest one to the number Nequus rolled.

Boosts for Speed pts will be given. Boost points can be added or subtracted to the originally rolled number in an attempt to get closer.

If it is a stamina race, or a long distance race, then stamina will be counted in as well! If it is a Stanima race, the boost will follow the same chart.

Boosts will be calculated automatically!

Boost Chart
1pts - 5pts : No boost
6 pts - 10 pts : 2 point boost
10 pts - 15 pts : 5 point boost
16 pts - 20 pts: 8 point boost
21 pts - 25 pts : 10 point boost
26 pts - 30 pts : 12 point boost
31 pts - 35 pts : 15 point boost
36 pts - 40 pts : 18 point boost
41 pts - 45 pts : 20 point boost
46 pts - 50 pts : 22 point boost
51 pts - 55 pts : 25 point boost
56 pts - 60 pts : 28 point boost

65 pts - 70 pts : 32 point boost
71 pts - 75 pts : 35 point boost

86 pts - 90 pts : 42 point boost

Speed Racing

Speed racing is by far the simplest of all the racing techniques. It is also the fastest and less based on luck and certainly not based on creativity.

Nequus will post the letters, "Go" in big bold red letters in this thread along with the name of a currently existing Nequus.

Owner's of the racing horses must then go look for that horses certified image. Once the have found it they must post it in the thread as an image, not as a url. The first person to sucessfully complete this wins the race!

This event can be seperated out into tournament style pairs as well! n.n
